Netflix Orders DEAR WHITE PEOPLE Series
Netflix has officially ordered the new comedy series DEAR WHITE PEOPLE based on writer/director/producer Justin Simien’s Sundance award-winning satirical indie film. The 10-episode, 30-minute series will go into production later this year and will premiere on Netflix around the world in 2017.
“Set among a diverse group of students of color as they navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college where racial tensions are often swept under the rug, Dear White People is a send up of “post-racial” America that also weaves a universal story about forging one’s own unique path.”
The series will be written by Simien, who will also direct the first episode. Devon Shepard (HOUSE OF LIES), Stephanie Allain Bray (HUSTLE & FLOW) and Julia Lebedev (THE DINNER) serve as executive producers.
“Justin is a gifted storyteller whose bold, unique vision is perfectly suited to Netflix,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix. “His original film DEAR WHITE PEOPLE announced the arrival of a fresh, creative voice that had everyone talking, and we’re excited to have Justin create this new series for our members worldwide.”
THE 100 Sneak Peeks: Sailors Take Warning
With only a few episodes left of season 3, THE 100 is leading up to an explosive finale. Last week, Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia and Jasper finally found Luna, who could possibly save them all from A.L.I.E. if she would only take the flame.
Unfortunately, because nothing ever goes smoothly in this world, Luna refused to accept her birthright, opting for peace instead. Elsewhere at Polis, Murphy, Indra and Pike were all being held captive, while Kane was forced to take the chip. So at this point, it seems that Raven and her knowledge of the A.I. is the only thing standing between them and total destruction.
Red sky at night, sailors’ delight.
Red sky at morning, sailors take warning.
Yet in this week’s episode, ominously titled “Red Sky at Morning” after an ancient mariner’s rhyme, all three groups are going to try their hand again at defeating A.L.I.E. Clarke has decided they need to convince Luna to take the flame by whatever means necessary.
Meanwhile, Murphy has a plan to destroy Jaha’s backpack, even though Emori warns it will cause a nuclear explosion. And back at Arkadia, Monty and Raven (with her new savant abilities to directly read A.L.I.E.’s code) will make an important discovery that could turn the war in their favor.
So the question now becomes, who will gain the upper hand? Will Clarke convince Luna that taking the flame can save them all? Can Murphy, Indra and Pike band together to destroy the backpack? Or is Raven their last hope for finding a weakness and avenue of attack?

SUPERNATURAL Photos: Mounting a Rescue
The last time we saw Casifer on SUPERNATURAL, he had been taken hostage by his aunt, Amara. As one of God’s last remaining archangels, she was hoping to torture her nephew in order to draw her brother out.
Will it work? We now know that Chuck is God and he returned in the last episode (read our recap), so we are probably heading for a family reunion. But before we can see a brother-sister showdown, someone needs to rescue Casifer from Amara’s clutches.
Concerned for their friend, Dean and Sam will attempt to mount a rescue in an upcoming episode so they can get him away from Amara. But how will they actually get Lucifer out of Cas? That remains to be seen.
Browse through photos above for an all new SUPERNATURAL airing on May 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
BONES Sneak Peeks: Will Brennan Be Disciplined by the FBI?
It turns out that the FBI has rules about consultants hitting suspects according to this week’s BONES. After striking a suspect in the Meninist episode, Brennan is being called in front of a disciplinary board. Booth has some suggestions on how she should show contrition, but Brennan doesn’t believe she has anything to be sorry for. At her hearing, Brennan insists that the suspect deserved it, but apparently that wasn’t what the panel wanted to hear and they threaten to revoke her consultant status with the FBI if Booth’s testimony goes anything like hers did. It really isn’t until then that Brennan seems to realize the severity of the situation.
Meanwhile, the Jeffersonian squints are called in to investigate the murder of a convicted felon who was released to a halfway house and then disappeared. But it turns out that a suspect in the cast has ties to Booth.
Elsewhere, Jessica returns and her first kiss with Aubrey keeps getting delayed. And it turns out they’re not the only people with relationship trouble because Hodgins continues to push Angela away. Will that cause her to turn to another man?
A new episode of BONES airs tonight (May 5) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

SCANDAL Sneak Peek: Did Edison Make a Deal With the Devil?
It looks like Edison is going to come to some not-so-pleasant realizations in this week’s SCANDAL when he discovers that aligning himself with Rowan is akin to making a deal with the devil.
We know that Jake is being groomed to be Edison’s Vice President by Rowan, but apparently Edison doesn’t understand that you don’t cross Rowan. In a clip from tonight’s episode, the Presidential hopeful calls Jake to his office and tells him he’s considering other people as his potential Vice President — people with more experience. Naturally, Jake isn’t happy and makes sure that Edison understands that the choice is not his to make.
Elsewhere in the episode, Olivia and Abby have to put their differences aside and work together to try and take Hollis Doyle down.
Don’t miss an all new episode of SCANDAL tonight (May 5) at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
