LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is about to get even zanier than usual as the show heads into its midseason finale. The next two episodes will feature puppet versions of the characters, a very messed up timeline and the introduction of the season’s big bad. Here are the synopses for the upcoming episodes:
- December 3 “Hell No, Dolly!”: With Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Ava (Jes Macallan) at odds, Sara (Caity Lotz) tries to come up with a way for them to get along, but all is put on hold when a new magical creature attacks the Legends. Constantine (Matt Ryan) is forced to confront his tragic past but it could have devastating consequences for the rest of the team. Meanwhile, Mona (Ramona Young) has a crush on someone she works with and gets some advice from Nate (Nick Zano).
- December 10 “Legends of To-Meow-Meow”: After Constantine (Matt Ryan) breaks the cardinal Legend rule, you can’t change the past, he, along with Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Zari (Tala Ashe) try to deal with the ramifications without telling the rest of the Legends. Even though Zari encourages them to just fix the problem, Constantine and Charlie are determined to find another way, but only continue to make things worse.
And with those teasers, we turn to some additional ones from the cast, who we spoke to during a visit to the LEGENDS OF TOMORROW set in November.
- The Season’s Big Bad. There’s been no overarching villain this season the way there has been on this show in the past. But Richardson-Sellers hints that that is about to change. “We’ve shot almost half a series and [just now[ is the Big Bad starting to come in. It’s a much more emotional journey for the Big Bad this year, I think, and it’s much more complicated than just being a bad figure. It’s multiple people who have emotional connections with us and, therefore, [it] makes defeating the Big Bad even more difficult and complex. And I think a lot of people are going to be heartbroken in the process of doing it.”
- The Puppets! According to Richardson-Sellers, the puppets appear as during the episode where Constantine and Charlie keep screwing up the timeline. “It’s hilarious. Every act, you basically see the Legends in a different form. I don’t want to give it away, but the puppet is one of them. And it’s just this mad, mad journey throughout time of coming back and thinking you’ve fixed it and they’re in a completely different universe because one thing has changed.” Lotz added “you see a different version of everyone, like a different version of the Legends, a couple different versions, and it’s really wild, and seeing a puppet me was pretty cool.” And Brandon Routh added that “some of the creatures from the past come back and make an appearance in that episode.”
LEGENDS OF TOMORROW airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
