Any word on what’s in store for the denizens of Bluebell following last season’s very eventful HART OF DIXIE finale? — Jane
The TV Addict: Suffice it to say, the aftermath of George and Lemon failing to make it down the aisle will be front and center when HART OF DIXIE kicks off its much-anticipated second season this Fall. In typical Lemon fashion, the former bride-to-be will take the implosion of her relationship with George as a sign that it’s time for her to grow up, move out of her father Brick’s house and get her very first paying job at of all places the Rammer Jammer! And speaking of Bluebell’s most infamous watering hole, expect Wade to waste little time in making his intentions with Zoe clear, who sadly, will be forced to go back to square one in terms of assimilating herself into the tight-knit town now that all of her progress has been for naught following her presumed role as “home-wrecker” in the destruction of George and Lemon’s happily ever after.

Would love some news on my favorite fictional family, the Bravermans. — Allie
The TV Addict: Since TVGuide.com has already let it slip that eldest daughter Haddie will very soon be leaving the nest for College, you may be pleased to discover that the Bravermans are adding another bundle of joy to their brood. No, Adam and Kristina will not be having another child, but rather will consider giving Max a friend of the four-legged variety! Which should certainly add some fun to PARENTHOOD’s second episode back next. [Read more…]

Snap Judgments: LAST RESORT, 666 PARK AVENUE, MISTRESSES, NASHVILLE, THE FAMILY TOOLS, MALIBU COUNTRY, THE NEIGHBORS, RED WIDOW & ZERO HOUR

May 16, 2012 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

LAST RESORT
According to the Official ABC Description: 500 feet beneath the ocean’s surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receive their orders. Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they’re told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan.

Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The submarine and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country. Now, with nowhere left to turn, Chaplin and Kendal take the sub on the run and bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island. Here they will find refuge, romance and a chance at a new life, even as they try to clear their names and get home.

Why We’re Excited: Proof positive that ABC isn’t just in the business of catering to women comes this adrenaline-fuelled action adventure from the THE SHIELD’s Shawn Ryan. More exciting still, the all-star ensemble that includes Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Dichen Lachman, Autumn Reeser, Jessy Schram and Robert Patrick.

Why We Probably Shouldn’t Let Our Excitement Get the Better of Us: Forgetting for a moment that Thursday at 8PM has not exactly been the most hospitable of time slots for freshman ABC series as of late, there’s the obvious question as to whether or not LAST RESORT can possibly keep up with the high standards set by what sure looks to be one helluva pricey pilot. TERRA NOVA anyone? [Read more…]

Ask the Addict: Spoilers for SHAMELESS, PRIVATE PRACTICE, GCB, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, HAWAII FIVE-0 & More!

March 29, 2012 By theTVaddict 2 Comments

Last Sunday’s penultimate SHAMELESS of the season was off the hook! Any idea if we’ll ever see Ian’s very-random hook-up again? — Nick
The TV Addict: Funny you should ask, because we just so happened to have finished watching Sunday’s fantastic second season finale and can assure you that Ian’s one night stand doesn’t just come back to haunt him, but does so in a way we didn’t — but probably should have — seen coming. Cooler still, unlike the SHAMELESS’ first season, which ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, Sunday’s second season ends on more of a positive note for those already dreading the interminable nine month wait until Season three.

Any word on when poor Erica will finally kick the bucket on PRIVATE PRACTICE? — Jenn
The TV Addict: While we’re hesitant to pinpoint an exact end date for poor Erica and the nightmarish time spent on PRIVATE PRACTICE this season, we can let you in a little something interesting courtesy of a source close to production. In the upcoming fifth season finale, a character will, in a court of law no less, be accused of “pulling a Kevorkian!” Read into that what you will.

Are Barney and Quinn seriously going to move in with one another on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER? — Dylan
The TV Addict: Yes. And it’s gonna be Legen… wait for it…. Oh, who are we kidding! The only thing we’re sure of when it comes to what the future holds for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is that when the show finally does return from its traditional hiatus (March Madness, indeed), it will do so with an episode that has all the trappings of one destined to become a classic. After-all, nothing says Legen… wait for it… Dary like an episode that sees Ted, Marshall and Barney embark on another “trilogy time” in which they get together every three years to watch the “Star Wars” trilogy and envision what their lives will be like in another three years. Ask the Addict: Spoilers for BONES, THE GOOD WIFE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, HART OF DIXIE & More!

March 22, 2012 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

This long time FRIENDS fan is ridiculously excited for Matthew Perry’s appearance on Sunday’s episode. Any hints as to what he’s up to? — Rachelle
The TV Addict: Unfortunately for Alicia, when it comes to this Sunday’s episode, the good wife and great lawyer does not have a friend in Matthew Perry who as head of a blue ribbon commission tasked with getting to the bottom of a police shooting may not exactly have “finding the truth” at the top of his to-do list.

This GOOD WIFE obsessed fan cannot get enough of Dylan Baker’s uber-creepy client Colin Sweeney. Are there any plans to see him stir up trouble before this season comes to a close? — Brenda
The TV Addict: Not that we know of. But if it helps, Sunday’s episode does culminate with the surprise return of someone, that in our humble opinion, is far more dangerous than your run-of-the-mill convicted killer when it comes to Alicia’s well-being.

With all the hype surrounding BONES’ upcoming trip to Hollywood, I couldn’t help but notice that both the producers and cast were being relatively mum on what role — if any — Dr. Camille Saroyan plays in the episode? — Wilson
The TV Addict: If the producers and cast are being a little less than forthcoming with regards to what role — if any — Cam plays during the show’s much-anticipated trip to Hollywood that sees Booth and Brennan investigate a murder on the set of the film adaptation of Brennan’s book, it’s for good reason. And we say that as someone who was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of Cam’s costume courtesy of Tamara Taylor’s very own iPhone photo album that she was kind enough to show off during a recent one-on-one in Toronto. Suffice it to say, a completely different side of the good doctor doesn’t begin to describe things. So stay tuned! [Read more…]

Steve Harris and Wilmer Valderrama Dish on Being Alter-Verse Partners and Detectives on AWAKE

March 22, 2012 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

The biggest mystery to date on AWAKE has been which of Detective Michael Britten’s realities is real: the one with his wife or the one with his son.  But as the show peels back layer after layer another intriguing mystery has arisen:  who would anyone want to kill his family?  In recent interview during a conference call with press, co-stars Steve Harris and Wilmer Valderrama also posed the interesting possibility that the two realities may interest in upcoming episodes.  It is already a juggling act to track Britten’s realities, but imagine if those realities began to not only mess with his mind, but ours as well.  Regardless of the mind-tricks and carefully embedded mysteries tying the series together, this interview reveals that the actors are clearly having a ball making AWAKE a reality for us to watch. Ask the Addict: Spoilers for THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL, NEW GIRL, HART OF DIXIE & More!

March 8, 2012 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

Waiting for new episodes suck. Especially when it comes to THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Is there any possibility that you’ve got some killer scoop to tied me over? — Francesca
The TV Addict: In keeping with your request for killer scoop, fans should brace themselves for a face-to-face with two characters who have been long gone, albeit not so much forgotten. Which is to say, Producers are currently casting for the biological parents of Jeremy Gilbert, Miranda and Grayson, for what we have a feeling will be a fairly pivotal flashback. On, and on the off chance that’s not enough to whet your appetite, the CW Network just released this very interesting description of the Thursday March 29th episode that goes a little something like so: Entitled “The Murder of One” — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) focus a new project that will bring them closer to destroying Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and they quickly bring Elena (Nina Dobrev), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig) in on the plan. After Klaus threatens someone close to Bonnie (Kat Graham), she has no choice but to work on the spell he needs. Meanwhile, Klaus and Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) find the perfect motivator to convince Finn (guest star Caspar Zafer) to cooperate with them, but Rebekah is more interested in her own brutal plan to take revenge on Damon. Stefan’s emotional turmoil leads him to a dangerous confrontation with Klaus and, later, to a heartbreaking moment with Elena. [Read more…]
