Charlie Brown plans to celebrate the holiday by curling up with a big book that weighs nearly as much as he does, Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.” The book’s weight doesn’t stop him from lugging it to Lucy’s pre-party dance class, where he cuts a mean rug with a rollicking Patty. With just 1131 pages to go, Charlie Brown takes another break, this time for the party, and summons the courage to invite his true love, the little red-haired girl. She doesn’t respond, but hapless Chuck shows up anyway – with Tolstoy in tow. What is Coming to Hulu this Fall

August 13, 2018 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

Are you ready for everything coming to Hulu in Fall 2018? We’ve put together a handy list of all of the new and returning shows, along with trailers (where available), to get you excited for all of the streaming series you can watch this fall.

MINDING THE GAP

  • Documentary. Premiere Date: August 17
  • Compiling over 12 years of footage shot in his hometown of Rockford, IL, in MINDING THE GAP, Bing Liu searches for correlations between his skateboarder friends’ turbulent upbringings and the complexities of modern-day masculinity. Liu weaves a story of generational forgiveness while exploring the precarious gap between childhood and adulthood.

CRIME + PUNISHMENT

  • Documentary. Premiere Date: August 24
  • CRIME + PUNISHMENT examines the United States’ most powerful police department through the efforts of a group of active duty officers and a private investigator who risk their careers and safety to bring light to harmful policing practices which have plagued the precincts and streets of New York City for decades. Amidst a landmark class action lawsuit over illegal policing quotas, director Stephen Maing chronicles the real lives and struggles of a group of black and Latino whistleblower cops and the young minorities they are pressured to arrest and summons.

SAFE HARBOUR

  • 4 episode series. Premiere Date: August 24 (all episodes released)
  • On a yachting holiday from Darwin to Indonesia, five Australians come across a broken-down fishing boat, full of desperate asylum seekers. The Australians decide to help, towing the refugees, but when they wake the next morning the fishing boat is gone. Five years later, they meet some of the refugees again and learn the truth. Someone cut the rope between the two boats and, as a result, seven people died when the fishing boat sank. The revelation drives a wedge of mistrust between the Australians, as they grapple with protecting themselves and doing the right thing. The refugees struggle with their desire for justice and, possibly, revenge. Old secrets come to light, relationships are shattered and lives are put in danger. And one question hangs over it all – who cut the rope? I LOVE YOU, AMERICA WITH SARAH SILVERMAN

  • 11 new episodes. Premiere Date: September 6
  • Serving heady concepts in a big, bready, aggressively silly sandwich, Silverman tackles the symptoms of why we are where we are today. The show reunites ourselves with compassion and empathy without missing a comedic beat.

THE FIRST

  • 8 episodes. Premiere Date: September 14 (all episodes released)
  • Sean Penn leads an ensemble cast in this near-future drama about a crew of astronauts attempting to become the first humans on Mars. • “Flesh & Blood” Premiere Date: November 2. Kimberly, a teenager suffering from agoraphobia, has not left the house since her mother’s murder, which remains unsolved.
