SECOND CHANCE: Adhir Kalyan and Dilshad Vadsaria Introduce the Goodwin Family

January 13, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

second chance

Mary and Otto Goodwin are close siblings. They’re also incredibly intelligent and very wealthy after having founded the tech company Lookinglass (think: bigger than Apple). When SECOND CHANCE begins, however, Mary is ill and Otto is desperately searching for a cure for her. But the cure comes in the form of resurrecting someone from the dead and when he finds a perfect candidate — Jimmy Pritchard — Otto proceeds with his experiment, despite Mary’s hesitations.

During a visit to the SECOND CHANCE set in Vancouver, Dilshad Vadsaria (Mary Goodwin) and  Adhir Kalyan (Otto Goodwin) spoke to journalists about their characters’ close relationship, Otto’s search for his sister’s cure and how the arrival of Jimmy Pritchard throws tension into their relationship.

Otto is Very Special. “The way that I’ve approached the character is not to try and be so specific that I pinpoint one thing that reflects the characters,” explained Kalyan. “But rather describing the character as being ‘twice exceptional’. And people and children who are classified as ‘twice exceptional’, they’re classified as that in relation to people who are regarded as neurotypical, or relatively normal. And the ‘twice exceptionality’ comes in where they have twice the gifts, but also twice the challenges. And some children who are ‘twice exceptional’ are on the autistic spectrum, but you don’t have to be autistic in order to be ‘twice exceptional’.”

How Much Does Mary Mean to Otto? “Otto’s center rests in Mary,” Kalyan said. “And so in that sense, how she’s doing and how she’s operating really affects him in a very direct way. If she’s doing well, he finds such great comfort and happiness in that. But, of course, within the framework of where the show picks up and is taking place, this disease — in the way that it’s consuming her — is consuming him too. And, as a result, he’s shifted his focus away from work and is entirely focused on trying to find a solution to do the impossible, really. Which is to try and save her from this terminal illness. So, to speak to that, he is really a character who depends on her and it’s a genuine fear of his that if she goes, that he will be completely lost. And may not know how to get through it.”

Adjusting to a New Person in Their Lives. “Right now where we are with the characters are really just getting used to the dynamic that Pritchard brings into the Goodwin home, and this element that he’s brought into Mary’s life,” Vadsaria said. “Because her two most important people in her life — or the two most important things in her life have been Otto and Lookinglass. And now he’s brought this other facet into her life, and I think that’s quite exciting and new and eye opening and in the sense of she’s never traveled down that road before.”

What Does Otto Think of the Budding Friendship Between Mary and Jimmy Pritchard? As Rob Kazinsky said in our interview with him, Mary and Jimmy “certainly have a balancing effect on each other”. Kalyan said that “there is obviously a degree of chemistry between the two of them. And that is something that you get the sense is going to develop. Those intimate moments become more profound as the season unfolds. But I think Pritchard becomes a threat. He becomes a threat because he is now been given this opportunity to have a second chance at his own life. But with that comes his unpredictable actions. His need to sort of want to do better than he did the first time around. And he often puts himself in harm’s way. By putting himself in harm’s way, he threatens the experiment. Threatens having the ability to provide this service he has to [the Goodwins] in Otto’s mind. But also, more so than that, [there’s] this emotional reaction [Otto’s] not ever seen in Mary before. And I feel like he starts to feel as though Pritchard is taking Mary away from him…I think he’s growing increasingly concerned that not only has this experiment now out of control, but he might lose his sister in the process.” Kalyan also said that “He’s not interested in the emotional quality Mary attaches to him. He’s a means to an end and in his eyes, if Pritchard can’t do it, he would find someone else who could, and if Pritchard can do it, then once he’s fulfilled his purpose then he’s useless.”

Mary as the Moral Compass of the Show. “I think the thing with Mary is that she’s the heart of the show, so she has that moral compass, and where Otto sees Pritchard as something that he separated from an experiment, Mary sees Pritchard as this human being who has these flaws, and the pain and the complications and everything,” Vadsaria explained. “And of course when it comes to Otto, Mary has been responsible for raising him. So it really has to do with her having a very big heart and feeling what each person is going through, and having that dynamic where you have sort of these polarizing characters, and Otto and Pritchard that are so in their worlds and very much on their [own] roads, and Mary having to balance these two important people now in her life. Pritchard she needs to live, Otto is her brother and really this human being that she’s raised from a very young age…so yeah, it’s quite complicated.”

Will the Treatment For Mary Actually Work? “It’s definitely not as easy as [Otto] hoped it would be, but there is a commitment on his part to the solution because there’s no alternative,” Kalyan explained. “The alternative for him is the end of days, really. We will get a sense as to whether this experiment is working or if other steps need to be taken.” In addition to the effects of the treatment on Mary herself, Jimmy could threaten the whole experiment with some of his actions, Kalyan said. “It’s a little work in progress where every 24 hours he still has to go back into the tank so that he can be restored and there are a lot of challenging moments along the way where because of this unpredictable activity, sometimes it is a race against the clock, because even though the idea exists that maybe we could replace him with just another body, you know the effort to sort of go through finding someone with that genetic precursor is a sort of fairly daunting and risky prospect.”

How Jimmy and Lookinglass Allow the Goodwins to Do Good.
“Mary and Otto have done good through Lookinglass,” Vadsaria said. “For example, it’s not [just] for profit. If you think about social entrepreneurship and what you can give back, it’s very much that sort of mindset. And it’s a progressive company, so everything they’ve done [is about] how can we help humanity and mankind move forward. What Pritchard now brings to the table is a different way of helping people, ‘here and now in this very moment someone’s in trouble, what are we going to do to get them out of trouble, and every life has its worth’. And in that sense there is that camaraderie that comes in, in that sense there’s that common ground and it’s a different approach now to how we’re going to do it. And of course it’s a lot more action. It’s a lot more fast-paced then what’s happening behind the scenes with technology, trying to cure cancer, and those types of things.”

Don’t miss the series premiere of SECOND CHANCE on Wednesday, January 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

Burning Questions for Jason “Jay” Bell of ARROW, THE FLASH and STAR TREK BEYOND (Part 2)

January 12, 2016 By Melissa Smith Leave a Comment

2 Jay Headshot cropped

Stunt performer, Jay Bell, seen on many stunt-intensive TV shows and top-grossing feature films, recently took time out of his active schedule to chat with THE TV ADDICT.

A former active duty soldier, Afghanistan veteran, musician, composer and father, answered our burning questions about stunt work, broken bones and some of our favorite shows.  You can see him on many television shows including ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERNATURAL, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and feature films such as STAR TREK BEYOND, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and DEADPOOL!

Jay Bell doubling Milo Ventimiglia

THE TV ADDICT: How often do you have to wear special wigs, makeup, get special haircuts or dye your hair to double an actor? (seen above doubling Milo Ventimiglia)

JAY BELL: It always depends on the show.  The only time you wear a wig is if it’s for something specific or when you’re doubling an actor and they need to match your hair to the actor.  Otherwise, you’re getting a nice new haircut!

We get makeup done almost every time on set unless your face is covered by a mask/helmet or some kind of wardrobe.

When I was doubling Hawkman on LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, whenever I wore the Hawkman helmet, they had to color the bottom half of my hair at the back to make it lighter and match Falk Hentschel’s, the actor who plays Hawkman.

Most memorable makeup for me was for being a zombie on FEAR THE WALKING DEAD.  It was pretty wild!

TVA: What is your background?

Jay Bell in military uniform dress

I started off my journey with gymnastics and Shotokan Karate in high school.  After college, I did 7 years in the Army with a tour to Afghanistan.

These days you’ll find me hitting pads at my long time Muay Thai gym, working on flips and tumbling at the local indoor Parkour gym or training with my master at my Taekwondo Dojang.

Jay Bell gymnastics

I like to keep things varied, so that I don’t get stuck in one groove at one time.  Stunts can require a lot or a little, so if you’re prepared for a broader spectrum, you’ll set yourself up for success.

TVA: What is the most difficult type of actor/role to double?

I’d say matching the actor’s particular movement with a certain character.  A lot of times, you’ll double an actor and they move completely differently from how you would portray that same character.

For me, personally, I try and study the actor’s movement and copy their articulations as best as possible, even if it goes against feeling “right” for you.  That for me can be a tough, but also a welcomed, challenge.

TVA: If you could work with your dream director, who would it be?

Hands down, it would be Steven Spielberg.  I grew up watching almost every one of his films as a kid.  I think I might be temporarily starstruck if I saw him on set.  I have such respect for him and to be on the same set would be pretty amazing.

TVA: Do you act, sing, dance or do stage work in addition to stunts?

The only acting I get to do is on the jobs I book as a stunt/actor.  I have yet to have any experience on stage or singing/dancing gigs.  Somehow, I don’t know if that would be my niche, but never say “never.”

Jay Bell photo diving

TVA: How many hours do you train for a complex gag?

A Ratchet (“wire work”) can be a tricky one because you have to setup the machines with your particular weight, your velocity, arcs, how high you’re going and, most specifically, what’s your action before, during and after you land or hit the ground.

I’ve done some days of 12+ hours practicing one single gag.  Complex fight scenes with a lot of different moving parts can also take a long time.  We did one big sequence where the main heroes are fighting a lot of bad guys while there are complex driving sequences going on at the same time.  That was a full 2 12-hour days of rehearsing.

TVA: Legendary stunt person, Dar Robinson, never broke a bone in his career.  Is that really unusual, and have you?

It’s not unusual at all.  I know a lot of veteran stunt guys who have done some totally insane gags without a scratch. One friend, however, broke his neck on a feature film 5 years ago and has now fully recovered.

Luckily for me I’ve just broken a nose along with some torn ligaments in my ankles and a separated shoulder.  I don’t know…maybe I’m crazy…but that is getting off pretty easy to me (knocking on wood).

Jay Bell photo 5 X-Men

TVA: What is the most unusual request you ever got for a stunt?

I haven’t had too many “unusual requests” but on X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, the Hair Department pretty much told me that I’m shaving my head and beard off…except the mustache.  I was walking around Montreal for a month with a shaved head and a big dark bushy ‘stache…. not exactly the look I like to have for prolonged periods of time.

TVA: What hobbies do you have?

Completely unrelated to film, I’m an avid guitarist.  Whenever I have any time to myself and I’m not training, working or changing my daughter’s diapers, I’m playing and recording my own music on my MacBook.  It’s the only time I get to be alone in my own musical creative world.

That being said, I look at my career as a stunt performer as a hobby.  I think the moment I look at it as a job, I might start feeling different about it, and I don’t want that.  For me, it’s the most fun paid hobby you can have.

Burning Questions for Jason “Jay” Bell of ARROW, THE FLASH and STAR TREK BEYOND (Part 1)

January 11, 2016 By Melissa Smith Leave a Comment

jay

No, your eyes are not fooling you in the photo.  The faces above are not exactly the same faces that you see on THE FLASH and ARROW.  Those are the stunt performers who do the “ballet to sound effects” performed so brilliantly each week.  To the far left is Jay Bell, doubling Robbie Amell’s Firestorm.

Jay is a stunt double, stunt performer, actor and motion capture performer who has worked on such stunt-intensive television shows as THE FLASH, ARROW, SUPERNATURAL and the upcoming LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, as well as feature films X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, STAR TREK BEYOND and THE A-TEAM.

Jay Bell Afghanistan

A former active duty soldier, Afghanistan veteran, musician, composer and father, Jay was kind enough to take time out of his incredibly busy schedule to answer our burning questions about stunt work, broken bones and some of our favorite shows!

Related: Read part 2 and part 3 of our interview with Jay Bell

THE TV ADDICT: You have worked on some of the most stunt-packed shows on television and top-grossing films.  What is the hardest part about being a stunt performer?

JAY BELL:  That’s a good question.  The hardest thing about being a stuntman, in my opinion, is the physicality of the job. The longer you do it, the more it takes a toll on your body.

Jay Bell rock climbing copy

When you’re constantly being thrown through the ringer… physically…it definitely catches up faster than you think.  I’ve torn all of the ligaments in both ankles, broken my nose and separated my right shoulder multiple times.

In my mind, though, whatever injuries you incur over the span of your career are worth it because it’s one of the coolest jobs you can possibly have.

Jay Bell Firestorm

TVA: Do you do a lot of work with CGI and what is most interesting about it?

Now that TV and film have become so reliant on CGI to fill in the gaps, I’ve had plenty of opportunities.  In my experience, CGI has brought energy and life to the characters for the viewers to enjoy at home.

I doubled Robbie Amell last season on THE FLASH as “Firestorm.”  His character is a superhero on the show whose body lights up on fire.

I got to do a lot of the action for that character.  I got so excited every time I had an opportunity to “flame on” and pretend like I’m calling upon this awesome force and become this badass human fireball.

It was the same with Hawkman on LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.  I got to pretend I’m sprouting these huge angel-like wings from my back as if I were some demigod, whether I was on a wire flying around or sweeping a bad guy’s legs out with one wing.  CGI is very cool to work with and even cooler when you get to see the finished product.

TVA: What is the hardest part about keeping your face away from the camera?

That can be a tough one to pull off.   Sometimes, the camera is pointing directly at your face during your action, so you definitely have to be creative on how to sell a movement, whether its a simple punch or doing wire work.

If the director does not want your face seen, you have to be sure it’s not seen.  A lot of times, you would typically sell a hit away from camera.

TVA: Did you ever forget to duck (sorry, I had to ask, LOL)?

mmm…..yes….It sucked, and I was totally embarrassed.   But, it sold well to the camera!

TVA: How many parts can you double on one project?

As many as the Coordinator/Director wants.  One of my close friends who works on ARROW as a lead double has doubled 8-10 different characters on that single production.

It also depends if you’re a full-time double for one of the main characters or just for an actor for that particular episode.  If you’re unavailable or have too much on your plate, most of the time they’ll try and find another performer with your particulars and skillset to fill in for you.

TVA: As a stuntman, you are required to act as well as throw a punch.  Could you tell us a little more about that?

Almost every single one of my acting credits has been a Stunt/Actor Credit.

I still have to go through the audition process like any actor would, but in these cases they typically want a stunt performer who they know can throw out some lines with no problem as well as do the actual stunt.

It’s a lot of fun, as I tend to get really into character, even with one line.

TVA: What is your specialty, e.g. horses, fire, cars, hand-to-hand?

For me it’s definitely hand-to-hand and fighting.  I have a background in Muay Thai and Taekwondo so that style of stunts comes more naturally to me.

I’d love to get into more driving/motorcycle style of stunts but most of those guys have been in the business for 20+ years and have earned those coveted spots with skill and time in.  Someday, though!

TVA: Do you take acting and dance lessons in addition to strength training or boxing or have you learned how to act on set?

I’ve literally taken one acting class in my life.  Everything else I’ve learned regarding acting has been by watching other actors on set and how they portray their characters.  I think it’s better than any acting class you can take and you get to see an array of different styles.

THE 100 Extended Season 3 Preview: Brave New World

December 14, 2015 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

the 100

The CW released a short look at the upcoming third season of THE 100 late last week, but now the network has unveiled the first full-length trailer for the returning series.

We open the preview with Clarke, dressed as a Grounder. She insists that she’s “no one”, but a man warns her that “a lot of people out there right now looking for no one.” Clarke is clearly broken up about killing the people in Mount Weather and has separated herself from her people. Bellamy opted to remain at the Arkers’ camp, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t grieving for his choices as well. And Kane is warning him that there are threats within their own walls as war continues to rage on the ground.

Jaha, meanwhile, has been taken in by Alie, the AI system that appears to have destroyed the world. He insists that “the City of Light is real”, but how stable is Jaha now that he’s been armed with his own nuclear weapon?

Finally, it appears that there is a lot of conflict coming up between Octavia and Bellamy. She insists that her brother is “on the wrong side” and then, after a beatdown, tells him that he’s dead to her.

The scope of the upcoming third season looks enormous and the moral ambiguity of the characters looks fully intact. This preview is — in one word — awesome.

THE 100 will return for its third season on Thursday, January 21 at 9/8c on The CW.

We Shine the Spotlight on CASUAL Star Michaela Watkins

October 8, 2015 By Victoria Nelli Leave a Comment

michaela watkins casual

After a career spent stealing scenes as a supporting player in such TV Addict favorites like TROPHY WIFE, TRANSPARENT and WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, Michaela Watkins is about to have her much-deserved moment. Premiering this week on HULU, Watkins stars in Jason Reitman’s CASUAL, as a recently separated mother who finds herself back in the dating world after a seventeen year hiatus. I caught up with Watkins to talk about her hilarious career path, her darkly funny and honestly raw performance in CASUAL and what she’s loving on television right now.

You worked on a lot of great shows recently, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, TRANSPARENT, TROPHY WIFE, how were those experiences for you?  What did you take away from working on each show?
Watkins: I feel really lucky that those are the little tribes I sort of fell into. It was so much fun working on them, it almost feels like the product at the end, you feel like you’re making something really silly and great, and then when it comes together its just icing on top because the process of working on it with everybody is so fun. It’s the best, to me they are some of the most interesting people, doing what we are doing and I feel like they all make me better.

What was your initial reaction to reading the scripts for TRANSPARENT?
My initial reaction was, fuck yeah! It’s unlike anything that is on television and I know Jill (Soloway) and I know that when her father came out as trans, what a complicated time that was and then seeing her put all of that complexity into the script and come up with something so beautiful and so specifically her.  When she said Jeffery Tambor would probably play Maura and I just thought, okay, game over.  I’ve worked with Jill a few times and the way she conducts her art, it’s very free form and it’s very loose, creative, and collaborative and I think even when you read the scripts, the scripts are great. What happens when you’re in the room and working with her is a whole other ball game because she basically says, “throw my script away, let’s do something totally different.”

Your new show, CASUAL premieres tonight, what can you tell us about your character, Valerie?
I was just saying this to somebody, it’s really weird because I do a lot of comedy and some of it is a little darker and leans towards dramedy.  This definitely falls in the dramedy category, it feels like an independent film and because of that it’s been a real trip.  I can really take the time with the scripts and the show to get to know the character, in a way where they feel like such real people to the degree that I am kind of nervous and scared because I feel so vulnerable.  The character is so close to me, she’s a little more reserved than I am. Whatever feeling I’m having, you’ll know I’m feeling it at the time because I probably overshare and that’s not like Valerie at all, but everything else does. She processes her pain, and being cheated on and going through a divorce.  I don’t have kids but I have nieces and nephews around the same age as the girl who plays my daughter and all of it just feels so real, and the writing is so good that it feels so natural.  I guess I should tell you she’s a little controlling, a little pragmatic, she’s got her own sense of humor. At the beginning of the show she’s just really sad and really uncomfortable with being a thirty –nine-year-old single woman.  It’s a little terrifying for her because this is all new and she makes some interesting mistakes, but none of it feels campy, none of it feels wacky, it all feels like the exact kind of thing I would do.  When I was single in my mid-thirties I was so freaked out about dating because I realized it’s a different world in the way it is now.  People may not call you and that’s strange. (Laughs)

Will we see a lot into her dating life?
Yeah, you will. Also into her messed up psyche.  This is a show about a brother and sister and their relationship and they are a little dysfunctional and for different reasons. They help each other but they also bring out each others crazy. It’s a show about family and dating, but mainly a show about family. There’s a lot of love there, it may not be the healthiest kind but there’s definitely a lot of love.

Aside from an introduction to your character, Valerie what else can we look forward to in the Pilot?
There’s a really great shot of a naked butt (Laughs) it’s not mine! In the first couple of episodes it’s really ramping up, stuff doesn’t go too crazy until the fourth episode, then it goes on a real journey. Think of it as an independent film, the first three episodes are the first act, then the next three and four are the second act and that’s when all of the complications begin to kick in, then the third act, things just go off the rails. When I read one of the episodes I had to go for a walk after, I was so freaked out by what happens. In the first two it’s really getting to know the characters, it’s really great dialogue, it’s shot really beautifully.  It’s got that Jason Reitman thing where it’s sort of stylized and it’s really natural, the music is really great and minimal and it’s used smartly.

What shows are you loving on TV right now?
In terms of comedy, I’m loving DIFFICULT PEOPLE because it’s got some of the best lines I’ve ever heard in it.  Do you like CATASTROPHE?

I really really love CATASTROPHE!
It’s great!  I love HOUSE OF CARDS, TOGETHERNESS, I started watching ORPHAN BLACK, that shows so good.  MAD MEN was my favorite show ever and I’m so sad that’s over. I think I’m going to start watching YOU’RE THE WORST, because everybody says that’s so great.

You can watch Michaela in CASUAL today on Hulu.

Why Vanessa Rousso Will Win Big Brother 17

July 15, 2015 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

vanessa-rousso-big-brother-17-00

She has a background in strategic game play
There’s no denying that Rousso’s background in professional poker will give her a powerful advantage over the other Big Brother contestants. Years of experience at the card table will have shaped her strategic insight, ability to read people, and daring disposition. To enjoy consistent success in poker such as Rousso has, one have to demonstrate extreme patience, concentration and – most importantly – a perfect poker face. Each of these qualities is going to put Rousso miles ahead of her housemates, all of whom will be unaware of Rousso’s skills in manipulation and intimidation. The star has regularly competed in the highly popular World Series of Poker tournament, which has a round- and elimination-based system similar to that of Big Brother. Having therefore endured this kind of competitive pressure in the past, along with a series of personal hardships, Rousso has every reason to feel confident in her ability to face the heat. August 13, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt 1 Comment

the-100-poster

After leaving fans clutching their hearts at the end of the Season 1 finale over the presumed deaths of Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Finn (Thomas McDonell), and perhaps the eminent death of Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington), who sacrificed himself to save the remaining population of the Ark, it was only too fortuitous to run into two of the executive producers of THE 100 at the CBS summer TCA party and attempt to get some long-awaited answers.

In an exclusive interview, executive producers Bruce Miller and Jason Rothenberg talked about where Season 2 shall pick-up for the hundred and what may have become of those last seen in dire straights in Season 1. [Read more…]

As fans acutely recall, in the Season 3 finale of PERSON OF INTEREST, all our heroes were scattered to the four winds after it became necessary to adopt new identities in order to evade the all knowing eye of Samaritan, whose first task was to locate each of them — presumably, so that they could each be quickly and quietly dispatched.

So during this summer’s CBS Television Critics Association summer party, in an exclusive interview, executive producer Greg Plageman provided a few hints about what Finch, Reese, Shaw, Root and Fusco will be faced with in Season 4 of PERSON OF INTEREST. [Read more…]

HEMLOCK GROVE Scoop: Madeleine Martin Teases Shelley’s Mysterious Journey in Season 2

July 11, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt 1 Comment

hemlock-grove-poster-madeleine-martin

Shelley Godfrey was one of those amazing mysteries of Season 1 of HEMLOCK GROVE. From the minute she was introduced, she captivated simply by her presence. She was the gentle-giant sister to Roman Godfrey (Bill Skarsgard), who seemed to see everything with her all-knowing eye and who would literally glow when someone touched her skin.

In the end of Season 1, Shelley was the hero that saved her brother and everyone else from the vargulf. But in doing so, it put Shelley in the crosshairs of Sheriff Sworn (Aaron Douglas), who shot her in the back as she tried to run away. Shelley’s fate is still to be determined, but can easily surmise that she did survive and she has a journey of her own this season on HEMLOCK GROVE.

In a press interview from the set, Madeleine Martin talked briefly about taking over her new role as Shelley (the role had been previously portrayed by Nicole Boivin in Season 1) and teased where Shelley’s story may go for Season 2. [Read more…]

FALLING SKIES Scoop: Scarlett Byrne Talks Portraying The Hybrid Lexi

June 29, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

xG_u9Ogi

From the moment she was born, Alexis Glass-Mason was a very special baby. She could stand on her own even as a baby and she seem to have an inhuman way of staring as if she understood everything around her. She also seemed to age a unusually fast rate, and within months she had gone from being a baby to a toddler to a young child. When we meet Lexi again in Season 4 of FALLING SKIES, she goes through another rapid growth spurt and we shall meet her next as a young woman.

A baby and child no more, Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) has found her place amongst the human survivors and 2nd Mass as a spiritual guide. Her miraculous human/alien hybrid DNA seems to hold the keys to the mysteries of the universe and perhaps the heavens too. While not sure if Lexi could indeed be an angel or emissary of God, some believe that she has been sent to them as a messenger. But is Lexi truly touched by something otherworldly or is she just a young woman who has grown up too fast without her parents to guide her?

In a recent exclusive interview, Scarlett Byrne talked about portraying Lexi as the young woman who seems to have particular sway over those around her, both human and alien. [Read more…]
