When we first met Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) in LONGMIRE, we were certain he was the squeaky-clean, good-boy hero of the story. Since then things took an interesting turn, Branch surprised us all by showing signs of dabbling in the darker side of life. He showed more political ambition and drive than anyone gave him credit for and that began to complicate the world of LONGMIRE. Then as if dating the sheriff’s daughter behind Walt’s back was not enough to make us wonder about his intentions, taking political bribes certainly caught our attention. That bad-boy side was starting to shine through.
In a recent exclusive interview, star Bailey Chase shared a few thoughts on his character’s emerging duality and why he hopes fans will stand by Branch as the election controversy plays out this season. [Read more…]

We Shine the Spotlight on DROP DEAD DIVA’s Romantic Hero Lex Medlin

A surprising thing happened on DROP DEAD DIVA, a new hero emerged last season that we were not expecting. When Jane Bingham (Brooke Elliott) tried to flee from the image of her best friend and her ex-fiancé kissing by accepting a spontaneous trip to Italy with Judge Owen French (Lex Medlin), we did not expect to fall just as in love with him as Jane did. Yet Owen not only stole Jane’s heart, he stole ours. So when the fourth season ended with yet another heart-breaking kiss, but this time between Jane and Grayson (Jackson Hurst), which was witnessed by Owen on his and Jane’s wedding day, we felt Owen’s pain and betrayal keenly. So we held our breath and waited to see if Owen would awaken from his heart attack as the man we all knew and loved, or if he would awaken with the soul of Old Jane.
Last week’s Season 5 premiere put those fears to rest as we were introduced to Old Jane in another woman’s body – and Owen still fully intact and hurting. So in a recent exclusive interview, star Lex Medlin shared his thoughts on where Owen’s head and heart are at this season and whether Owen will find a way to forgive Jane. [Read more…]
DEXTER Season 8 Preview: It’s Time To Pay For the Sins of the Past

From the day Dexter (Michael C. Hall) picked up his first knife and made his first cut, his days were numbered. For one cannot embrace the life of being a serial killer and not wonder how long the run can last. The number one rule of Harry’s Code has always been: don’t get caught. But last season Dexter was caught in the act twice, first by his sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) and then by Maria LaGuerta (Lauren Velez). Starring into the crosshairs of fate, Dexter persuaded Deb to cover up his dirty little secret time and time again last season, which she did willingly out of love for her brother. But the ultimate sacrifice was in the season’s finale when Deb had to make a much more heart-wrenching choice: to kill her brother or to kill her boss. As that fatal shot rang out and Maria’s body shuddered, nothing will ever be the same again. The look on Dexter’s face said it all: he knew Deb would be irrevocably destroyed having been forced to take an innocent life. [Read more…]
DROP DEAD DIVA Redux: A Tale of Three Angels and One Little Devil

The fifth season of DROP DEAD DIVA returned with a few tears and a few heavenly twists. In last week’s returning episode, “Back From the Dead,” we watched with sadness as Jane’s (Brooke Elliott) guardian angel Luke (Carter MacIntryre) was suddenly recalled to Heaven for failing to keep Jane and Grayson (Jackson Hurst) apart. This was a vivid reminder of how unforgiving Heaven can be with mistakes. Just like his predecessor Fred (Ben Feldman), who revealed his true identity to Stacy (April Bowlby) and got yanked back to Heaven; when Luke similarly failed in one of his primary duties, he was recalled as well. This opened the door for DROP DEAD DIVA’s newest angel, Paul (Justin Deeley). Heaven giveth and Heaven taketh away. [Read more…]
