UNDER THE DOME Scoop: Season 2 Returns With More Shocking Deaths, More Discoveries and More Unexpected Alliances

June 30, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

under the dome season 2

Season 1 of UNDER THE DOME was certainly full of shocks and surprises, and when it returns for Season 2, it certainly delivers on those heightened expectations. And when the show says that no one is safe, it means it. Look for another major character death to start the season off with a heart-breaking jolt. Also revealed right away will be another neat trick of the dome. Just when the residents of Chester’s Mill thought they had figured out all that the dome can do, the dome proves it still has a trick or two to reveal.

So what exactly is the dome? Is it an entity of its own or is it a tool of unknown origin? Given everything that it has done so far, it is beginning to look more and more like the dome itself is a living, breathing entity — and perhaps of alien origin. Since this is a Stephen King story, the possibility of alien life is actually not that far-fetched. How else can one explain it? [Read more…]

FALLING SKIES Scoop: Scarlett Byrne Talks Portraying The Hybrid Lexi

June 29, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

xG_u9Ogi

From the moment she was born, Alexis Glass-Mason was a very special baby. She could stand on her own even as a baby and she seem to have an inhuman way of staring as if she understood everything around her. She also seemed to age a unusually fast rate, and within months she had gone from being a baby to a toddler to a young child. When we meet Lexi again in Season 4 of FALLING SKIES, she goes through another rapid growth spurt and we shall meet her next as a young woman.

A baby and child no more, Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) has found her place amongst the human survivors and 2nd Mass as a spiritual guide. Her miraculous human/alien hybrid DNA seems to hold the keys to the mysteries of the universe and perhaps the heavens too. While not sure if Lexi could indeed be an angel or emissary of God, some believe that she has been sent to them as a messenger. But is Lexi truly touched by something otherworldly or is she just a young woman who has grown up too fast without her parents to guide her?

In a recent exclusive interview, Scarlett Byrne talked about portraying Lexi as the young woman who seems to have particular sway over those around her, both human and alien. [Read more…]

FALLING SKIES Scoop: Stars Moon Bloodgood, Seychelle Gabriel, Sarah Carter and Doug Jones Talk Season 4 Challenges

June 22, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

falling-skies-season-4

One would think that after nearly 4 years of fighting against the Espheni, Mechs and Skitters that our heroes of the 2nd Mass would be up for any challenge. Yet Season 4 has introduced a few more curveballs and surprises in the ongoing fight to reclaim the planet.

In Season 4 of FALLING SKIES, our heroes face the biggest challenge yet: separation. The 2nd Mass was always strongest when they were all together, fighting the good fight together and knowing that they faced certain death together fueled their passion to fight to the bitter end against the Espheni and their minions. But Season 4 quickly scatters our heroes and they are left to wonder if their friends and family have survived on their own.

While at WonderCon 2014, stars Moon Bloodgood, Seychelle Gabriel, Sarah Carter and Doug Jones teased how their characters survive and what further surprises are in store. For one, baby Lexi is no longer a baby or even a young child anymore; her rapid-aging turns her into a young woman. Separated from her parents Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and Anne Glass (Moon Bloodgood), Lexi turns to Lourdes (Seychelle Gabriel) as her closest family, leaving Tom and Anne searching frantically for their daughter. Good fortune also reunites Maggie (Sarah Carter) and Ben (Connor Jessup), which leads to a romantic complication. Then as for Cochise and the Volm, they have bigger problems to deal with than the squabbles on Earth. [Read more…]

June 22, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

musketeers002

Loosely based on the Alexandre Dumas book “The Three Musketeers,” the new BBC America series THE MUSKETEERS introduces the adventures of Athos (Tom Burke), Aramis (Santiago Cabrera), Porthos (Howard Charles), and D’Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino) all over again. But the rip-roaring adventures of THE MUSKETEERS are not content with just three musketeers, but must have four. After all, four is better than three, or so goes the debate in the show for D’Artagnan does not immediately see the benefit of joining up against the three men who may have committed a crime against his family. June 22, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

dakota Daulby

Returning for its fourth season, FALLING SKIES quickly scatters its heroes and shows how tricky life can be to survive when each of them are on their own. The young Mason son, Matt (Maxim Knight) finds himself caught up in a special Espheni reeducation center. With the world as he knows it long gone, it was probably the last thing he ever expected: to find himself back in school. But like anything with the Espheni, there is always a darker side to seemingly good intentions. The reeducation center is not to really educate in the broader sense, but really to reprogram the surviving children to be compliant members of the Espheni society.

In an exclusive interview, newcomer Dakota Daulby talked about his pivotal role as a teacher inside the reeducation center and the challenges with such a tricky role. [Read more…]
