Spotted: DEGRASSI Star Adamo Ruggiero
(L to R) Adamo Ruggiero with the TV Addict, February 19, 2009
As regular readers of theTVaddict.com know all to well, this TV Addict never misses an opportunity to shamelessly flaunt his random celebrity encounters. Which is why we’re sharing this photo with DEGRASSI’s Adamo Ruggiero (Marco), who was on hand at Six Degrees in Toronto last night to help promote his upcoming role (alongside fellow DEGRASSI stars Jake Epstein, Mike Lobel and Paula Brancati) in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway smash DOG SEES GOD, opening in Toronto March 13.

Ask the Addict: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA & TERMINATOR Spoilers, DOLLHOUSE, KINGS & More!
Dear TV Addict, as much as I loved last week’s mythology-laden episode BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, please tell me tonight’s episode involves a lot less thinking? — TighMeUp
The TV Addict: Is it just me, or are TV fans incredibly hard to please? I mean we all spend season after season clamoring for answers, only to complain the moment we finally get them! God help LOSTerminds Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse when they finally fill us all in on the mysteries behind the island, the four-toed statue, Ben’s mom, Claire’s disappearance, Jack’s father… well, you get the idea. But to answer your question, rest assured tonight’s episode is far less taxing on the brain cells. Not only does Ellen Tigh return in all her former glory, she gives new meaning to the phrase, “If this Viper is a rockin’…. don’t come a knockin!”
I have an unhealthy obsession with Jonathan Jackson, can you please tell me we are going to see more of him on TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. — Jackson1
The TV Addict: I can do one better than simply tell you, I can be the first to reveal to you exclusively that Jonathan Jackson will indeed (all together now) be back, for multiple episodes no less. “Kyle Reese is the kind of character that fans are excited about and is good for the show,” revealed Jackson during last week’s one-on-one with theTVaddict.com. “I’ve shot three episodes so far and I’m about to shoot a fourth in a couple of weeks. A lot of stuff has been in the future, and Brian Austin Green who plays Derek has been great. Such a good guy and a great actor to work with.”
A while back you twittered that you were getting ready to see Lauren Graham in GUYS & DOLLS on Broadway. So… how was she? — StarsHollowHolla
The TV Addict: Well let’s put it this way. Had Rory Gilmore been reviewing the show for the Yale Daily News, she definitely wouldn’t have walked out. In fact, she would have been immensely proud of her fictional TV mom for not only proving that she has the pipes to belong on Broadway. But for more importantly showing that she can actually act and create a character that was hilarious, heartwarming and best of all, absolutely nothing like Lorelai Gilmore. Miss Patty would have been proud… and we’re just going to say, possibly a little jealous.

Tonight’s TV Addictions: February 19, 2009
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
UGLY BETTY (8PM ABC, CityTV in Canada)
It’s fashion week in New York. Maybe this year, one of those fancy designers will pull Betty aside and give her a few tips… ’cause the girl’s apparently too clueless to look around her and pick them up for herself.
BONES (8PM FOX)
Fanboys and girls will either be laughing or cringing during this case, which takes the team to a comic book/video game convention.
GREY’S ANATOMY (9PM ABC)
The best thing I can say about this show these days is that Addison is on again tonight. But the subplot about Christina doubting the abilities of a renowned surgeon — played by Faye Dunaway, who stole the show when she was a judge on the reality series THE STARLET back in 2005 — has a been there/done that (a million times) feel to it. And that’s exactly what made me quit watching ER a million years ago. Well, that and the episode where the helicopter landed on Dr. Romano
PRIVATE PRACTICE (10PM ABC)
A baby born with both sex organs kicks off a debate about sexual reassignment surgery. Which is interesting… think about it. What if you’d been that baby and your parents chose to lop off the opposite of what you have right now? Discuss amongst yourselves.
NEW & NOTABLE:
SURVIVOR (8PM CBS)
Someone’s gonna call Taj out! And it’s gonna sound something like this: “What’s a former pop star who’s married to a former NFL player need a million bucks for?”
News No Television Executive Wants to Read
Viewers just aren’t that into you. As evidence by the above twitter message the TV Addict stumbled across a mere 39 minutes (that’s less than an hour folks!) after last night’s episode of LOST aired on the east coast. Awkward.
Call us crazy, but perhaps it’s time to have a look at the old business model. Because while this probably doesn’t come as news to theTVaddict.com’s web savvy readers, we have a feeling we know where to find all of the viewers that Nielsen ‘forgot’ to measure watching DOLLHOUSE, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES and LOST.
Today’s Pet Peeve: LOST
Showrunners need to stop using the tired “[insert number of hours/days here] earlier” trope because it’s the television equivalent of having the end of the book spoiled for you at the exact moment you were about to sit down and crack it open. Take last night’s installment of LOST for example. All of the excitement one felt upon learning that Jack, Hurley and Kate had finally made it back to the island (after a long 21 months away) immediately dissipated upon learning that in reality, we’d have to wait until next week’s episode to find out what happens next! I mean really people, and by ‘people’ I’m of course referring to the mighty television showrunners we all hold in such high esteem. It was clever and original on ALIAS, almost a decade later, not so much.
Got a TV-related pet peeve you need to get off your chest? Send it to us at info@thetvaddict.com or better yet, a tweet via twitter.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
AMERICAN IDOL (8PM FOX, CTV in Canada)
Just for fun, pause your DVR (or PVR in Canada) at the exact moment nine Idols hopefuls get their dream crushed in front of thirty million viewers. It’s reality TV at its best!
LOST (9PM ABC, “A” in Canada)
The Oceanic 6 discover how they’ll be able to return to the island. Fingers crossed that it’s easier to follow than Anders’ explanation to the final five Cylons on last week’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Because we’ve watched the episode twice already and still have yet to wrap our head around what happened!
LIE TO ME (9PM FOX, GlobalTV in Canada)
A groom is shot at his wedding. Which hopefully will teach people to stop asking if anyone objects… we’re just sayin’ you’re pretty much asking for trouble.
