Spoiler Alert! Emily Deschanel Teases Thursday’s Brennan-centric BONES
Wondering just how big of an episode this upcoming Thursday’s Brennan-centric instalment of BONES is? So big that we just got off of a conference call with her portrayer, the wonderfully well spoken Emily Deschanel, in which she kindly talked about the epsisode, her take on Hannah and what BONES fans have to look forward to in the coming months. Needless to say, spoilerphobes, you have been warned.
It’s a game-changer!
Despite the general consensus that the phrase “game-changer” is in fact one of the most overused terms in the history of the medium, Thursday’s episode — in which the murder of a prominent surgeon has Brennan re-evaluating her life as a result of how much in common she has with the victim — is just that. “Brennan starts, as a lot of people in life do, to wonder… am I working my whole life away, not spending time with the people who are important, not taking a chances,” explained Deschanel. “If I died tomorrow would I be happy with my life as it is, right now?”

The Top 10 Lies TV Showrunners Tell You
Yesterday afternoon, in response to a conference call earlier in the week in which FRINGE showrunners J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner emphatically defended their shows move to Friday, we, on a whim tweeted “We’re fine with the move to Friday,” under the hashtag #liesTVshowrunnerstellyou.
What followed, was a flurry of funny (“We Loved Ana Lucia” tweeted @sILOST) and eerily accurate (“The network has been incredibly supportive,” tweeted former SIMPSON EP @thatbilloakley) responses from around the twitterverse, the Top 10 of which we’ve compiled after the jump.
Morning Static: LIFE UNEXPECTED, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, Netflix & More!
• Eviscerating any glimmer of hope fans may have had, Warner Bros TV officially announces LIFE UNEXPECTED “The Complete Series” on DVD. Emphasis on the words “Complete” and “Series.”
• Game Changer! Netflix is reportedly in talks with studios for access to current episodes of primetime and is willing to pay $70,000 to $100,000 for the privilege.
• From the department of “HUH?” MIKE & MOLLY tops Nielsen’s “Viewer Engagement” report.
• Spotlight: THE VAMPIRE DIARIES Steven R. McQueen.
• Pilot Watch: My Girls’ Anna Chlumsky and THE OC’s Kelly Rowan Kelly have found themselves some exciting new gigs.
• Washington finally gets something right, with the House giving final congressional approval on Thursday to a bill that would prevent advertisers from abruptly raising the volume commercials to catch the attention of viewers.
Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Question with FRINGE Showrunners Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman
Just how explosive is tonight’s episode and is it at all accessible for new viewers who may be hesitant to jump on the bandwagon this far into the series?
Jeff Pinkner: Actually if the only episode of FRINGE you ever tune into watch is this one — sure it’s going to take you five minutes to sort of catch up — but you will feel what’s going on. It’s a great entry point and you will understand the relationships. The truth is the one right afterwards, which is the falling out of this episode and sort of the picking up the pieces episode, is equally a great place to join both because it’s a reset episode. Olivia will be home and sort of like dealing with the consequences. It’s Rip Van Winkle dealing with the consequences of everything that she missed. Both of these episodes are actually a great place to join in.
As a storyteller, you hope, we hope, that people watch these episodes and if they’re new to the show watch these episodes and go, “Oh wow let me start going back and seeing what I missed.” The good news is in today’s world there’s Hulu and things like that on demand were you can catch up pretty quickly.
