After six episodes of bloody awesomeness, THE WALKING DEAD will end its all-too abbreviated first season this Sunday night at 10PM. Where things get really interesting though is that unlike most shows that go on an extended hiatus leaving fans will little more than the occasional webisodes (see: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), fans of THE WALKING DEAD have at their disposable a wealth of material in the form of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book that serves as the basis for the hit AMC series. An alternative which raises a question we’re hoping fans of both the television show and comic book might be able to help us with: Will reading the comic, like say the first compendium that we’re a mere click away from purchasing on Amazon, ruin the shock and awe of the TV show? Or are they different enough entities to be enjoyed on their own?

SURVIVOR NICARAGUA Recap: No One Likes A Quitter
By: Josh Wigler
If I was Brenda, Marty or Alina at last night’s Tribal Council, I would be absolutely livid right now, and if I was Jeff Probst, I would have roundhouse kicked Purple Kelly and NaOnka straight in the mouths. Because nobody likes a quitter, folks, not on SURVIVOR, and especially not this deep into the game.
There’s barely anything else to discuss with last night’s episode, which saw two of the show’s contestants drop out of the game with only 11 days left to the finish line. One of these contestants was clearly the most polarizing figure of the entire season; the other, well, we can’t exactly say she’ll be missed when we barely even knew she was there in the first place. It’s no loss on the latter, but definitely a major loss in terms of entertainment value on the former.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with HUMAN TARGET Star Indira Varma
For an actress who has made a name for herself Stateside in such high profile roles on the likes of ROME and BONES, actress Indira Varma has spent surprisingly little time shooting in the actual United States. HBO’s ROME was shot in Italy, her stint on BONES in the UK, and her latest role, that of Billionaire Philanthropist Ilsa Pucci on HUMAN TARGET shoots in Vancouver, British Columbia! Which is where we had the opportunity to catch up with the actress to chat about what’s in store for her character in the second season of HUMAN TARGET, the perils of procedurals and why UK actors are so obsessed with making it in America.
Ilsa Pucci is giving Chance and his team unlimited means to do with what they will, does she know what she’s getting into?
Indira Varma: Yes, I think so. Of course, when you’re giving someone your money, lots of money, you kind of want to know how it’s being spent. Especially because these guys have a tendency to break the law and pretend they’re above it. Ilsa Pucci is not a lawbreaker, she’s more conventional in that respect and will most definitely be keeping a watchful eye.
What’s her relationship going to be like with Chance in particular?
She is going to be learning about who he is as a person and I think that will be quite fun. It’s hot and cold with them, one minute she’ll think, “Wow he’s done some great stuff here,” only to quickly change her mind when he does something that lets her down. It isn’t going to be a simple relationship. She’ll question him and get him to confront some issues he probably doesn’t want to confront just as he does the same for her. I really think that it’s a match made in heaven. Two strong-willed people who are intelligent, trying to learn about each other and are trying to change each other, despite the fact that you can’t really change someone, can you?

Did FOX Drop the Ball by Awarding GLEE the Post-Super Bowl Timeslot?
As fans anxiously countdown to the February 6, 2011 Super Bowl to find out which of their favorite (or not so favoite) teams will be crowned NFL Champion, those of us in TV Land already have ours.
GLEE has been awarded the pivotal post-Super Bowl timeslot that will see the hit FOX show feature covers of the Black Eye Peas, Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry and Michael Jackson’s Thriller. And while we have no doubt the football-themed episode that will revolve around the local football championship will be a bonafide crowd pleaser, we can’t help but wonder if FOX fumbled with their choice of shows.
