Look at Some Casino Shows You Can Watch on Netflix Canada

Look at Some Casino Shows You Can Watch on Netflix Canada

Netflix is one of the first companies to introduce streaming services, and they really have tons of content for just about anyone. However, they have contracts with movie and TV studios that specify where certain content can be aired. As a result, depending on your location the available shows may differ. That being said, you can always use VPN to get access to content that is restricted in your country.

It’s also worth pointing out that due to the increase in competition the company started to underperform, and subscribers aren’t sure what they can expect going forward. Hopefully new content will continue to pour in as before, but there are talks about adding ads to the platform. Right now there are several great movies and shows about gambling that you can watch in Canada. So, let’s see what Netflix has to offer to casino enthusiasts.

Ocean’s Eleven

If you love watching witty heist movies or TV shows, then Ocean’s franchise is going to be a great pick. The movie is about robbing the casino and basically hitting a jackpot without even playing. There are multiple sequels so if you like the first one you can give some of the other Ocean’s movies a try. If you like to gamble yourself, and want to play it safe, then make an account on a $1 minimum deposit casino online. This way you can spend a minimum amount of money to play and not be tempted to make a larger expense. Moreover, you might be eligible to some of the no deposit bonuses after you make an account, so use those as well to make your bets risk-free.

Win It All

Another thrilling movie about gambling is Win It All. It’s about a small-time compulsive gambler who is trying to break this habit after losing a lot of money. However, the events unfold in such a way that he is tempted to play a high-stakes game with money that doesn’t belong to him. It also shows how important it is to manage your expenses carefully or to gamble responsibly. For those who are looking for how to manage their spending, a good choice would be echeck casinos canada that offer different promotions. This way you can use e-checks to fund the account for the exact amount that you plan to spend for that month or week.

If you love to play blackjack, then you have to watch this movie. It’s about the team of math students who figured out how to beat casinos in blackjack. It is based on a true story, and many people use this technique when they play. Those who can count cards have a higher chance of winning in blackjack, but that doesn’t mean that this is easy. In fact, it’s incredibly difficult, especially when there are multiple decks in a shoe. You will need more players in order to do this effectively and you are more likely to pull it off in a brick-and-mortar casino. Even though this isn’t illegal, casinos can deny you access if they feel you are winning constantly.

Kakegurui

If you like Japanese anime and manga, then you need to watch Kakeguri on Netflix. It’s an exciting anime series about a special school where students gamble with one another to improve their status. Those who lose everything are turned into servants. A new spin-off season of Kakeguri is going to be released in August 2022. So, this is a perfect time to get caught up on what happened in the first two seasons if you plan to watch this new release. The show is filled with tense moments and unique high-stakes games. The students are even allowed to cheat so long as they don’t get caught of course.

What Happens in Vegas

This is a very interesting romantic comedy with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. It starts as a classic boy meets girl story that escalated pretty quickly to them getting married and then realizing what they did once they got sober. They easily agree afterward that they should get a divorce, and it seems like the whole thing is going to be over rather quickly.

Without a slot machine, the whole story would be over rather quickly but at one point Joy gives Jack a quarter that he uses to play slots. As luck would have it he hits the jackpot and receives a ridiculous amount of money. However, since they are still married, Joy wants half of the money, and that’s where the whole conflict of interest really begins.

Conclusion

These were some of the most interesting movies and shows on Netflix that revolve around gambling. As mentioned the platform changes its availability based on your location, so you might want to use VPN in order to make some of these titles available in Canada.

Some of the Best Casino Shows On Netflix Canada for You to Watch

April 19, 2022 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

It’s hard to resist a good casino movie, and the genre is adored by millions of people around the world. If you are a Netflix user looking for some amazing casino-inspired titles available in Canada, this list will help you pick the next movies and shows to watch.

The Presence of Casinos in Movies and Shows
Casinos have been making appearances in movies and other forms of entertainment for a long time due to all of the excitement that comes with them. Moreover, since online gambling has become a major trend in entertainment, casino elements are getting more present in today’s movies and shows than ever before. A large number of people love engaging in online casino games, but most of them are extra careful when choosing the operators. Some people rely on research, some listen to word of mouth, while others prefer finding a reliable casino review for each of their top choices.

Top Netflix Shows Featuring Casinos
Take a look at some of the best casino shows you can watch on Netflix Canada:

Casino (1995)
Casino is a legendary movie directed by Martin Scorsese and inspired by Nicholas Pileggi’s book titled Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas. The movie features a star-packed cast that includes Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci. The plot is centred around De Niro’s character Sam who is a gambling expert hired to oversee the daily operations of a casino in Las Vegas. However, Sam’s employers are actually the Chicago Mob, and that causes him a multitude of personal and professional problems. Being almost three hours long, it may seem like the movie takes too much time, but it’s definitely a classic worth watching.

Ocean’s Thirteen (2007)
Ocean’s Thirteen is the third part of the much-loved Ocean’s franchise and the direct sequel to the iconic Ocean’s Twelve that was released in 2004. The movie largely kept the cast from the previous one, and the leading roles were once again given to George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt, while some other stars like Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin also joined. The main character, Danny Ocean, is portrayed by George Clooney, and now he gets his team back together to help him get vengeance for his friend Reuben Tishkoff. The team is determined to conduct a heist during the opening of

Ozark (2017-2022)
This Netflix series follows a family forced to relocate to rural Missouri where they must set up an operation for money laundering. The second season tells the story of the family’s effort to open a casino, presenting all the legal complications people must go through if they wish to establish a land-based venue in most areas of the United States. It also provides an insight into the deep involvement of organized crime that is common in the industry. Despite all of that, the family manages to open the casino, and that is exactly where the exciting plot of the third season is placed.

Runner Runner – (2013)
The leading roles are portrayed by Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck, and the plot is centred around an enormous empire of online casinos and poker sites. Richie Furst (Justin Timberlake), the protagonist of the movie, is a young genius who tries to win the money for his tuition at Princeton by using his skill in games of online poker. When he discovers he was in a fixed game, he decides to travel to Costa Rica and confront Ivan Block (Ben Affleck), a gambling tycoon. Instead, he allows Block to draw him into the high life that he himself enjoys. The movie features scenes filled with luxurious beaches, expensive parties, and beautiful women.

Gems (2019)
In Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler portrays Howard Ratner, a jeweller and a gambling addict whose life gets turned upside down because of his addiction. This recent crime thriller shows an intense view of how one man’s exaggerated passion for sports betting causes core changes to his life and the lives of those around him. Although the tone of the movie is much darker than the ones we would normally associate Adam Sandler with, he did an amazing job in the role of a man who is in over his head tangled in a world he does not really belong to. Even though the majority of the gambling in Uncut Gems happens outside casinos, the final bet is placed in one of the most iconic venues in the States – The Mohegan Sun.

Whether you’re a fan of the thrilling action and drama that the leading characters fall into, or you just enjoy watching the glam of luxurious establishments, you will absolutely love all the titles on our list of the top casino shows you can watch on Netflix Canada.
