Religious relics have played a part in SUPERNATURAL before. In early seasons, some artifacts played a part in the apocalypse or the post-apocalypse time period. This time, however, one may be needed to save Mary and Jack.

In an early March episode of the show, Sam and Dean are very close to collecting everything they may need to open a portal to the alternate world where Mary and Jack are tapped. As they try to hunt down the last missing item, the brothers find a black market for religious artifacts. Unsurprisingly, the network warns that “everything is not what it seems” with this marketplace.

Meanwhile, Stella’s husband Wes (Elliot Knight), begins to worry that he can’t continue to pretend to be her perfect husband for the rest of his life.  With a real future suddenly in front of her, Stella’s cinematic life snaps into reality, and instead of living like she’s dying, she will have to learn to live like she’s living, and help her family and friends do the same. Lee Toland Krieger directed the episode written by Erin Cardillo & Richard Keith.

Jim Beaver is returning as Bobby — alternate universe Bobby, to be exact — in an early March episode of SUPERNATURAL. While the show is currently on hiatus for the Olympics, we will be traveling back to the alternate universe to check on Mark and Jack, who landed at Mary’s feet there after attempting to save her.

In “Good Intentions”, Mary and Jack manage to escape the captivity they were placed in by the archangel Michael and they find themselves an ally in alternate world’s Bobby Singer.

Meanwhile, back in the regular universe, Dean, Sam and Castiel are still searching for a way to open the breach, but they don’t realize that one of their own team is working against them. Given the fact that Donatello is seen tied up in the episode photos, we’re guessing they might start getting wise to the fact that the prophet is working for Asmodeus.

Browse through photos above for the March 1 episode of SUPERNATURAL airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles has turned the show into a family affair on a previous occasion when his father guest starred in an episode. And it’s no secret that Jared Padalecki met his future wife, Genevieve Cortese, when she played Ruby back in season 4. Now Ackles’ wife, Danneel Ackles, will be making a guest appearance on an early February episode of the show.

Danneel Ackles plays Sister Jo, a local faith healer who strikes an unlikely deal with Lucifer himself. Could he want her healing services after the blow Castiel dealt him in the previous episode? Elsewhere in the episode, Sam, Dean and Castiel are hot on the heels of Lucifer and come face-to-face with Sister Jo, who seems to be asking for their help in the preview below.

Finally, Asmodeus will be getting ever closer to finding Jack. But does he know about the other dimension and does he have the power to open up a rift and travel there?

Rowena met an untimely end on the season 12 finale of SUPERNATURAL. According to Lucifer, he burned her to a crisp. But Ketch’s appearance in early season 13 gave us a hint that the wily witch may have escaped death once again.

In an early February episode of the show, Dean becomes a victim to several witches — sisters Jamie and Jennie Plum. The Plum sisters also happen to steal a powerful book of spells from the Winchester brothers. Dean and Sam set off after the Plum sisters to retrieve the book and — surprise, surprise! — they get some help from Rowena, who is back from the dead.

Meanwhile, Lucifer and Cas are still trapped in Asmodeus’ prison. Browse through photos above for the February 1 episode of SUPERNATURAL airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

SUPERNATURAL: Briana Buckmaster Previews Donna’s Family Trouble

January 18, 2018 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

Donna is usually a happy-go-lucky character on SUPERNATURAL, but in the next episode we’ll see her as we never have before. When a family member goes missing, Donna calls on the Winchester brothers for help. During a visit to the set of SUPERNATURAL, Briana Buckmaster (Donna Hanscum) previewed the next episode, titled “Breakdown”.

“Donna has such a special place in my heart,” Buckmaster shared with us. “It’s going to be such a huge — knock on wood — part of my life, and is currently. When I got cast in that role, it was a very small role. It wasn’t even a guest star role at the time, and I was very excited to play a character that had this fun accent and had this kind of complex storyline about being the leader and sheriff of a town but also really insecure, feeling like her husband’s left her. There’s lots going on there. And over the past couple of years she’s developed strengths in new areas that teach her to grow and areas she thought that she was weak. So what a great thing for me as a human person and me as an actress to get to learn through Donna about what we can do through hardships.”

“[The January 25 episode] goes even further into the character — what she’s going through, what she’s capable of, and what she’s going to do moving forward. I’m more excited about this script than I’ve probably been about anything for my specific character. I think what’s great about Donna is she’s very relatable in that way. She’s just kind of a regular woman, having regular, everyday insecurities that we all have, and watching her succeed though that and knowing that we all can succeed though that.”

In the episode, which will show us another side of Donna, Buckmaster explained that, “Donna’s niece goes missing, and she’s very close to her niece, so it’s a situation that she doesn’t necessarily feel is necessary to get help for, but she is desperate. I think that for an episode that Donna has previously been in, it’s very different. She’s usually kind of funny and bright and sunny and she’s not in this episode. She is haunted, she is broken, she is vacant, she is lost, because she has lost this woman who’s like a daughter to her. It is an intense, dark, creepy episode. I don’t want to give too much away but for me, it’s a darker episode than I’ve ever been a part of and you see what she’s willing to go through moving forward.”

Related: Browse through photos from the “Breakdown” episode of SUPERNATURAL

As for Donna’s relationship with the Winchester brothers, Buckmaster hinted that the relationship “grows because we now have a stronger connection. I think when they first met Donna they felt a need to protect her in a way. And they did, but they also taught her ways to protect herself and to protect others which made her stronger. As that grows, I think she is creating a bond with the Winchesters because they’re all hunters now. They’re the king hunters and she’s growing under them. I think that brings them a sense of pride and also gives them an ally. I think that relationship is just going to keep growing stronger.”

After returning to SUPERNATURAL in the backdoor pilot for WAYWARD SISTERS, Donna is going to be sticking around the following week for another episode. But this episode won’t be focused on the potential spinoff. In fact, it’s all about diving into Donna’s previously unknown family background.

In the episode “Breakdown”, Donna calls on the Winchester brothers when her niece, Wendy, goes missing. After investigating, the brothers and Donna learn that Wendy was actually kidnapped by a man who makes a habit of selling human body parts to monsters in an online auction. Will they be able to save her before it’s too late?
