As promised, this week’s episode of ARROW was a non-stop thrill-ride.  It began with Oliver (Stephen Amell), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Sara (Caity Lotz) breaking into Queen Industries’ warehouse and blowing it up so that Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) could not get his hands on all the cool scientifically advanced devices inside.  Then it was a race to Central City to try to stop Slade again, but that time they were too late; but it was sure fun to meet Caitlin and Cisco and get an update on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).  [Read more…]

THE 100 Scoop: Thomas McDonell Talks Playing A Character Torn Between Two Lovers

April 16, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

Thomas McDonell the 100

It is a predicament that most men would kill for: two women vying for a young man’s attention. But in the case of Finn Collins (Thomas McDonell), it is his worst nightmare. In the new CW series THE 100, Finn thought he had been condemned to die on a radiation-soaked planet, only to discover that Earth is a virtual paradise after living his entire life on a dying space station. Finn thought he would never see his old love Raven (Lindsey Morgan) ever again — yet in a much shorter time than anyone could have guessed, Raven has retrofitted a space pod so that she may rejoin her love on the planet below.

Unfortunately, Raven could never have guessed that Finn’s fatalistic view would lead him to fall in love again so quickly. From that first day on Earth, Finn was drawn to Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor), the de facto, self-appointed lead/savior of those sent to Earth. So now, in the space of a very short amount of time, Finn is going to be faced with two loves and one hard decision.

In a recent exclusive interview, star Thomas McDonell ruefully talked about his character’s interesting predicament and what he loves about portraying the reckless and romantic hero of THE 100. [Read more…]

ARROW Preview: “The Man Under The Hood”

Gotta give props to ARROW for the spectacular use of the character Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett). You don’t just bring in a character like that and use him sparingly. ARROW has gone full tilt towards the Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson ultimate face-off — and with each new battle, we are reminded that Slade Wilson is not in this to win on just one front, but all fronts. He has preplanned his battle strategy down to the finest nuance. He does not just want to kill Oliver (Stephen Amell) — he wants to destroy him; destroy Oliver from the inside so that he is in as much emotional agonizing pain as Slade is every day of his life, and to isolate Oliver so that he has no friends or allies left to turn to. It is a brutal, ruthless and efficient battle strategy and, to our horror, it is working. [Read more…]

Danielle Campbell the originals

From the beginning of the series, THE ORIGINALS was about a brewing conflict between the vampires and witches — and now the werewolves. But as fortune smiled upon her, Davina was resurrected and is yet again the most desirable piece in the supernatural war.

Very few actors in Hollywood can hold their own on screen with the likes of Allison Janney and Anna Faris, but young actor Blake Garrett Rosenthal makes it look effortless. Portraying Roscoe, the younger son of Faris’ character Christy, Blake gets all the best lines. THE 100 Scoop: Devon Bostick Talks Jasper’s Miraculous Resurrection and Portraying a Romantic Hero

April 9, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt 1 Comment

devon bostick the 100

For a show premised on a hundred convicted teens sent back to Earth to determine if it is habitable nearly 97 years after a nuclear holocaust, and where each seems to be picked off week after week by one disastrous tragedy after another, the one surprising survival was for a character that was originally marked for death. The character of Jasper was supposed to die at the end of the first episode, but after watching Devon Bostick’s fun-loving performance, the writers of the show changed their mind and resurrected his character in a fun twist for the second episode. Normally a character that gets speared through the chest by a 12 foot stake never survives, but no one was ready to say goodbye to this beloved character just yet.

So in an exclusive interview, star Devon Bostick talked about learning Jasper would live to fight another day and the discovery that his character would be a romantic hero. [Read more…]

April 7, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

being-human-image-sam-witwer

It was a crazy idea to begin with: a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost all wanting to live together and have normal lives.  But if anything the past four seasons of BEING HUMAN have proved is that as crazy as the idea was, in the end, that desire for normalcy gave them all purpose and helped them all find a common bond of love for each other.  So what seemed to incredulous at first became an intriguing journey as they fought so hard for the lives they wanted and fought for each other in the process.

In an exclusive interview, star Sam Witwer talked about the incredible journey of Aidan, Josh and Sally, what he learned from this extraordinary opportunity, and the best advice he would love to give Aidan if they could sit down and have a heart to heart conversation. [Read more…]

April 7, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

bitten_poster

What a roller-coaster ride Season 1 of BITTEN has been. It began with a mysterious murder and mutt-hunt, which was then revealed to be the beginnings of a monstrous plan to take out the Danvers Pack and coerce Elena (Laura Vandervoort) into an unholy alliance with Daniel Santos (Michael Luckett). But Santos, Marsten (Pascal Langdale) and all the other scheming challengers under-estimated the strength of Jeremy Danvers (Greg Bryk) and his alpha pack. They were not just aligned out of loyalty, but by love — and this stronger than any incentive Santos or his mysterious benefactor could offer. So as Season 1 wraps up, it will be a battle to the bitten end. Just who will survive and who will make the ultimate sacrifice?

In an exclusive interview, star Laura Vandervoort talked about all the mixed feelings swirling around in Elena’s head as she tries to sort out how she feels about her Alpha and the men she loves. [Read more…]
