LAST RESORT Preview: Daniel Lissing Talks Up Tonight’s Explosive New Episode “Nuke It Out”

November 15, 2012 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

daniel lissing last resort

The new ABC drama series LAST RESORT does not shy away from launching nuclear missiles, which it amply demonstrated in its pilot episode. To ramp up the uncertainty about who has control of those remaining missiles, last week’s episode revealed a traitor in the USS Colorado’s midst when Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) discovered someone had stolen his launch key.  So this week’s new episode entitled “Nuke It Out” brings back the reality of how unstable the volatile situation is when the military crew becomes their own worst enemy.  It is a race to determine: who stole the launch key and what for?  Who exactly now controls the remaining nukes aboard the Colorado? And what lengths will each of them go to keep the situation from becoming explosive?

In an exclusive interview, co-star Daniel Lissing, who plays U.S. Navy SEAL James King, talked about the bristling tension between James and Grace (Daisy Betts) and what is going through James’ mind now that he finds himself caught up in the global events sparked by the SEALS’ covert mission in Pakistan. When you think about it, there have been so many staggering advances in such a short amount of time. [Read more…]

Brian Austin Green and Melora Hardin Preview Their New TBS’ Comedy WEDDING BAND

November 9, 2012 By Tiffany Vogt Leave a Comment

Having seen the first couple episodes of this fine new comedy series, the secret ingredient truly is the chemistry of the cast.  TBS struck gold when it tapped to star in WEDDING BAND the talents of Brian Austin Green, Peter Cambor, Harold Perrineau, Derek Miller, Jenny Wade and Melora Hardin.  Their layered performances make their characters feel simultaneously hilarious and very real.  The show may feature a wedding band, but the genuine musical talent and awesome chemistry that makes this show addictive.  Anyone who tunes in will be coming back for more.  It is that good – and it is outrageously fun.

Brian Austin Green plays Tommy, the lead singer of the band and is known to be a “bad boy” with a good heart; and Melora Hardin plays Roxie Rutherford, owner of Rutherford Events and reluctant fan of the band.  Tommy and Roxie may not agree on much, but they take their jobs of ensuring that joyful young couples and other celebrants have the time of their lives on their special day very seriously.  Nothing gets in the way of a great song or the perfect event.  In a recent press conference call co-stars Brian Austin Green and Melora Hardin shared what it has been like bringing their characters to life in the colorful world of TBS’ new television show WEDDING BAND. The Future of FRINGE Claims One of Their Own: Saying Goodbye to [Spoiler Alert]

November 2, 2012 By Tiffany Vogt 1 Comment

In last week’s tragic episode, “The Bullet That Saved the World,” another character’s life was claimed in the fight for the future.  It felt like we barely had time to get to know and appreciate Henrietta Bishop, affectionately known as Etta (Georgina Haig).  She had only a few precious days with her parents Olivia (Anna Torv) and Peter (Josh Jackson).  Yet in those few short episodes and that period after she rescued both of them from their amber graves, Etta became an integral part of the FRINGE verse.  Five episodes is all it took to win our hearts and make us now wonder how Peter and Olivia will be able to face the future, especially knowing that their daughter will not be a part of it. Christopher-Gorham-Auggie-Anderson-Piper-Perabo-Annie-Walker-Covert-Affairs-Season-3-1

The journey of Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) has always been a love story.  From the very beginning, we knew that Annie was a girl who followed her heart to the ends of the earth and wherever it led, she would follow.  It began when Annie joined the CIA, in search of a man she fell in love with on holiday — a man who disappeared so easily that she figured out that he had to be a spy.  Yet Annie’s search for the elusive love of her life, Ben Mercer (Eoin Bailey), was just the beginning.  Slipping in and out of her life like a ghost, Ben was the man who gave Annie a taste for adventure and opened the door to international espionage; he introduced her to a world that she had always craved and gave her the courage to embrace it. Broken: Has ONCE UPON A TIME Lost Its Magic?

October 28, 2012 By Tiffany Vogt 3 Comments

once upon a time cast

From the moment that Emma broke the Storybrooke spell, we knew that nothing would ever be the same in ONCE UPON A TIME again. The whole premise viewers tuned in for was to see how a young woman was persuaded to come to a town where all the inhabitants were fairytale characters – with one significant twist: none of them knew it. It was simultaneously hilarious and intriguing to see Emma encounter each character and guess who they really were from all the classic fairytales. It was also fun watching the dubious Emma slowly discover that things were indeed not as they seemed on the surface in Storybrooke. So the lure of the show was in the discovery. We were intoxicated and addicted to solving the mysteries along with Emma. [Read more…]
