1 sleepless night courtesy of pre-flight anxiety jitters.
2 hours of waiting in line to check my bag.
5 really awkward minutes getting getting searched a little-too-thoroughly by airport security.
6 hours of flying next to a ‘loud talker’.
An evening spent at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills (Zip Code, actually 90210!) with the cast of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER celebrating 100 legendary episodes: Totally worth it! See for yourself after the jump.

3 Stories We Missed While Up in the Air (On our way to the January 2010 Television Critics Association Press Tour)
The unmitigated ratings disaster that is the Jay Leno experiment may soon be coming to an end, with NBC reportidly mulling over ways in which to turn back the clock and return Leno to his now tarnished late night throne. [Source: [ NYTimes, Updated]
Your Monday night just got a wee bit funnier thanks to the release of CBS’ midseason schedule that has the only moderately more entertaining RULES OF ENGAGEMENT replacing the highly unfunny Jenna Elfman ‘laugher’ ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE. [Source: Orlando Sentinal]
Having just wrapped the season on what he calls a ‘cliffhanger-y and exciting’ note, HEROES star Greg Grunberg is confident the series will see what will likely be a fifth and final season.

An In Depth Look At GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Sex Scandal!
In week two of our plot to become your one-stop shop for all things television related — including soaps — we once again turn to our friends at Soaps In Depth magazine to see what has daytime fans in a lather this week. In doing so, we learn a very valuable lesson courtesy of GENERAL HOSPITAL: It turns out that when planning a wedding, the bride isn’t supposed to actually try and find out if the best man is… you know, the best man.
For months now, sweet little Elizabeth Webber has been hooking up with both longtime love and hubby-to-be Lucky Spencer… and his half-brother, Nikolas Cassadine! Several times a week, she declares that Lucky is the guy she wants to marry, and then Nik will enter a room and before she can say “Wait, we shouldn’t!” they already are. And although Liz is constantly saying that she’s got to tell Lucky the truth, our friends at Soaps In Depth magazine say the decision is about to be taken out of her hands! Why? Because Nikolas gets it into his head to leave town just as someone finds out exactly what’s been going on.
The TV Addict’s Guide To Surviving… SUPERNATURAL’s Hiatus
Christine Temetri is the kinda gal the Winchester brothers would definitely do battle over. She’s sexy, funny and, perhaps best of all, she knows a whole lot about angels, demons and that whole nasty Apocalypse thing they’re currently trying to stave off. So while we may have to wait until Thursday, January 21, for SUPERNATURAL’s return to the CW, fans jonesin’ for a mix of witty banter and End Times action can head over to Amazon and check out Robert Kroese’s hysterically funny novel, Mercury Falls.

First Look Video: James Franco Rocks 30 ROCK!
[flashvideo filename=”video/jamesfranco.flv” /]
As first reported by Michael Ausiello, serial guest star James Franco (GENERAL HOSPITAL) will drop by 30 ROCK on January 14th to pursue a faux relationship with Jenna (Jane Krakowski) in an attempt to cover up his embarrassing secret. A secret so big… so scandalous… and so shocking that it will not only rip Tiger Woods off the front page of TMZ, but Charlie Sheen as… Okay, in all seriousness, we have absolutely no idea what Franco’s secret really is. But what we can share are four hilarious clips from what is already shaping up to be a funnier NBC appearance than Franco’s recent outing as host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. See for yourself after the jump.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS (9PM CBS, GlobalTV in Canada)
No, you haven’t accidentally stumbled on upon the TEEN CHOICE AWARDS. Rather, tonight’s Queen Latifah hosted PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS are simply following Hollywood’s golden rule. If you nominate the likes of Twilight, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, they (and by they, we of course mean millions of screaming teenagers) will watch. Don’t shoot the messenger.
Why GLEE May Not Be As Great As You Think
While waiting for the second half of GLEE’s freshman season to start, I can’t help but feeling like Sue Sylvester, sitting on the sidelines judging what we’ve seen so far and muttering, “Sloppy, babies!”
It’s not that GLEE isn’t one of the best new shows of the season, or that it isn’t wildly entertaining. It’s just that… well, if these crazy kids want to to take Best Of Show, they’re gonna need to shape up before regionals. Which shouldn’t be hard. (You want hard? Try living with a face full of liver spots!) The pieces are all in place… they just need a steadier hand to guide them. Because for the most part, the trouble with GLEE can be traced to the writing staff and its lack of focus which has led to rushed storylines and a lack of clear rooting value where the various romances are concerned.
