• What do Summer Sanders, Maria Kanellis, Curtis Stone and Selita Ebanks have in common? Well, aside from us having no idea who they are, turns out they’re all part of the cast of the upcoming season of NBC’s so-called CELEBRITY APPRENTICE.
• Fan of GARY UNMARRIED? Then you’ll love ADAM UNMARRIED! NBC green-lights the untitled Adam Carolla project that has the funny-man starring as a contractor trying to rebuild his life after a divorce.
• Dawson Leery checks into MERCY, as James Van Der Beek signs on to the popular NBC series in a recurring capacity.
• Our Hero! Jeff Miller sets a couch potato record.

You Be the Critic: The LOST Supper
An epic LOST final season tease (Click here for an super-sized version of this just released “Last Supper”-inspired promotional art) or a total lack of originality? You decide.
Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Big Small Screen Predictions for 2010
Jay Leno will get downsized.
NO, unfortunately we are not calling for the end of the unmitigated disaster that is THE JAY LENO SHOW. Well, at least not yet. Rather, we predict that after successfully taking the pressure off NBC for the 2009/10 development season, the band-aid that is Jay Leno’s 10PM talk show will slowly begin to be peeled off. Allowing for the Peacock Network to commence the long and arduous process of reclaiming their dignity starting with Thursday nights at 10PM, which will return to the realm of scripted fare in Fall 2010.
Simon Cowell will remain on American IDOL.
Much to the chagrin of competing networks, Simon Cowell will not be throwing in his trademark V-neck T-shirt. Forget the rumours, reports and speculation, because the facts are these: There is absolutely no way FOX is going to allow their golden goose to simply fly the coop. Seriously. Whether it requires Rupert Murdoch to personally back up the proverbial Brinks Truck and in the process make Cowell the highest paid personality in television history, or completely tailor IDOL’s schedule to allow him the time he needs to properly import his UK hit THE X FACTOR to America, you can take this to the bank; Cowell will be back.

THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER (8PM ABC FAMILY)
Now that Amy’s had the baby, somebody, anybody, please explain to us what exactly is so secret about the life of the American teenager?
DEGRASSI’s Stacey Farber Grows Up
Stacey Farber and Michael Seater
As any fan of DEGRASSI will tell you, Ellie Nash didn’t have an easy time of it. During her time walking the hallowed halls of Canada’s most infamous high school, Ellie dealt with an alcoholic mother, her own proclivity for cutting and one failed relationship after another. Perhaps wisely, Ellie never actually walked down the aisle… although tonight, her portrayer, Stacey Farber, will take that gigantic step thanks to her new role in the CBC sitcom 18 TO LIFE.
This time around, Farber is playing Jessie Hill, who throws her tree-hugging folks into a tizzy by deciding that at 18, she’s more-than-ready to wed her longtime best bud/neighbor, Tom (played by LIFE WITH DERK’s Michael Seater). And despite her character’s age, Farber wants people to know this “is a comedy for adults, not a kid’s show!” And don’t expect to see endless “should-they-or-shouldn’t-they” discussions about the nuptials. “We get married in the first episode,” she previews.
Needless to say, hilarity ensues.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Ways in Which We Survived Holiday Rerun Hell!
Chick Flicks
There was nothing complicated about our love for Nancy Meyers’ holiday smash It’s Complicated. In fact, it’s pretty much what happens when you put Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Hunter Parrish and scene-stealer Jon Krasinski at the top of any theater marquee. That said, what didn’t add up was how He’s Just Not That Into You — which on paper seemed like a sure winner thanks to its bonafide all-star ensemble of TV Addict favorites (including ENTOURAGE’s Kevin Connolly, ALIAS’ Bradley Cooper, COUGAR TOWN’s Busy Phillips, FRIENDS’ Jennifer Aniston, BIG LOVE’s Ginnifer Goodwin and “Mac Guy” Justin Long) translated into one of the least enjoyable movies of the year.
CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM
Just how enthusiastic were we for more of Larry David’s painfully funny and unique brand of humour following our first real taste of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM courtesy of this past season’s phenomenally funny SEINFELD reunion? We actually went as far as to dust off the Ol’Blockbuster membership (Remember when people used to have to travel to brick and mortar stores to rent videos?!) to pick up seasons one and four on DVD.

THE SIMPSONS (8PM FOX, Global in Canada)
Fan of Tuesday with Morrie? Well, get ready for Sunday’s with Abe, when Grandpa becomes famous when a human-interest columnist (guest voiced by Mitch Albom) publishes his anecdote about serving on a battleship in World War II that was struck by a torpedo.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (9PM ABC, CTV in Canada)
In the wake of December’s plane crash, tonight’s episode asks ‘What If…” You know, sort of like those classic episodes of FRIENDS featuring “Fat Monica” and “Stock Broker Phoebe,” minus the funny and entertaining parts.
Your Little BIG LOVE Refresher
Between three wives, two businesses and umpteen offspring, keeping track of Bill Henrickson’s many problems is easier said than done. Which is probably why HBO has just released — just in time for BIG LOVE’s fourth season premiere on January 10th, 2010 — this clever little refresher highlighting some of the biggest moments from the show’s first three seasons. Big thanks HBO, seriously.
