Anne Hathaway Hosts SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and we’ve got your Good, Bad & Ugly
THE GOOD: After last week’s virtually unwatchable edition of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE hosted by Scarlett Johansson, this TV Addict is sure as heck thankful for Anne Hathaway, whose infectious energy and willingness to do anything for a laugh helped contribute to one of the most delightful episodes of the season. Highlights of which included Hathaway’s spot on send-up of Katie Holmes during The Miley Cyrus Show, her defense of The Princess Diaries playing Kate Middleton in a sketch that saw Prince Hairpiece William break the news of their engagement to the King and Queen, not to mention her flawless channeling of Judy Garland during a “TCM Essentials” bit that revealed a bunch of deleted scenes from The Wizard of Oz featuring (groan!) Fred Armisen. Also adding to last night’s hilarity was Jay ‘Can do no wrong’ Pharoeh who brought his bag of bang-on impersonations (Jay-Z, Drake and Biggie Smalls) to Seth Meyers’ always first-rate Weekend Update and SNL’s hilarious take on the recent TSA screening controversy and the upcoming Black Friday sales.

Your Ultimate Guide to the Best of the Web: Animated
From SOUTH PARK to FAMILY GUY, some of the most popular shows on television right now are animated. So it should come as no surprise that a lot of the best web series online are animated too. Animation works great for web series. It cuts down the number of actors you need (most only have a few people doing all of the voices) and it opens up a lot of subject matter (animated explosions are a lot easier to clean up after than real ones).
THE ANNOYING ORANGE
He may be full of Vitamin C, but Orange will do anything he can to bother his fellow kitchen residents. Animators superimpose actors’ eyes and mouths onto video of fruits and vegetables to bring these usually inanimate foods to life. Most of the other fruits and vegetables can’t stand Orange, with the exception of his best friend Pear, but viewers can’t get enough. THE ANNOYING ORANGE is the tenth most subscribed channel on Youtube, and is consistently a top performer in lists of most watched web series.

What The FOX? Our Reaction to FOX’s 2010-2011 Midseason Schedule (Spoiler Alert: It’s Not Good!)
Despite FOX’s best attempt to lesson the impact of their 2010-2011 Midseason Schedule by releasing it as late on a Friday afternoon as humanely possible (or what THE WEST WING famously referred to as “Take out the Trash Day”), the Network forgot to take into account one, make that two, very important factors.
Firstly, the internet never sleeps, and secondly, we have absolutely no life! To the point where the only thing the Network actually managed to do (aside that is from effectively cancelling FRINGE, but more on that later) was interrupt our Family’s traditional Friday night dinner as we as he slightly awkward albeit painfully obvious question: What the FOX?
Which is to say, did FOX seriously think we weren’t going to notice the fact that they’ve decimated any hope of a fourth season for FRINGE by moving it to Fridays at 9PM starting January 28 (see: DOLLHOUSE), hurt such TV Addict favorites like COMMUNITY, THE BIG BANG THEORY and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES by bumping the aging albeit still powerful ratings juggernaut that is the AMERICAN IDOL results show to Thursdays at 8PM (starting January 20), not to mention effectively cancel RUNNING WILDE by neglecting to include it on the midseason sked? Because we did in fact notice, and what’s more, we’re not happy about it!
Luckily for FOX, we are, if anything, a professional (Hence, why we’ve refrained from going “all caps on their a**!”). Which is why, rather than end our rant with a stream of obscenities that we’ll undoubtedly live to regret, we’ll politely sum up our feelings by borrowing a line, well tweet, from THE VAMPIRE DIARIES co-executive producer @julieplec, “Dang, Fox. Wow.”
Note: The entirety of FOX’s 2010-2011 Midseason Schedule can be found after the jump. (All times ET/PT except as noted)
First Look: COMMUNITY Goes Claymation For Christmas
Remember way back in September when Entertainment Weekly broke the news that COMMUNITY would be delivering an early Christmas present to fans in the form of a stop-motion animated episode akin to the classic RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER special? Well, we’ve got your first look at “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas,” which is scheduled to air on December 9th at 8PM on NBC (CityTV in Canada). Said star Danny Pudi to EW.com, “The minute we read that script, I was over-the-moon excited. It’s like that RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER special that you see every Christmas. But in true COMMUNITY fashion, it’s also a little subversive and a little dark.”
