Good News: Now you too can own the very not-so-humble abode that played home to Sophie-Anne Leclerq (Evan Rachel Wood) on this past season of TRUE BLOOD. Bad News: Assuming of course you’ve got a spare 35 million dollars burning a hole in your pocket. [Source]

Separated at Birth: American and Canadian TV Audiences!
Canada has a new ruler and his name is Sheldon Cooper! No really. Since moving to Thursday at 8PM, THE BIG BANG THEORY has not only consistently won its time slot in the United States, but has quickly established itself as Canada’s most popular import, attracting a whopping [in Canadian terms] 3.44 million viewers the week of November 1-7. A statistic which naturally got us thinking: With THE BIG BANG THEORY officially cementing its status as Canada’s most watched show (not to mention, most popular sitcom since FRIENDS), is it possible that we can now add “better taste in television” to a growing list of awesome things about Canada that also happens to include free health care and poutine?
Well, after a little research that saw our crack research staff us rank the top 25 weekly TV shows via total viewer from both Canada and the United States, we have unequivocally come to the conclusion that No — as luck would have it — Canadian and American viewing patterns are exceptionally (and disappointedly) similar. Both countries love generic procedurals, worship their respective national pastimes (Football in the US, Hockey in Canada) and Andy Rooney. But hey, don’t take our word for it, see a side by side comparison for yourself after the jump. [Read more…]
Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Shows That Actually Live Up to the “Must See TV” Moniker This Week*
THE GOOD WIFE
Despite what some of our television viewing habits might suggest, we are in fact not a 13 year old girl. And as a result of having almost no familiarity with the Nickelodeon smash hit iCARLY, we honestly didn’t know what to expect from Tuesday’s episode featuring special guest star Miranda Cosgrove. So you can imagine our surprise when Cosgrove, stepping into the shoes of Sloane — a teenage starlet accused of injuring a woman with her car while under the influence — amounted to one of the most entertaining episodes of an already stellar sophomore season. Adding to our enjoyment of the ripped-from-the-headlines story was the not-so-subtle shot from the CBS/Viacom owned GOOD WIFE at rival Disney that had Sloane blaming her bad behaviour on trying to “climb out of the Disney Ghetto thing,” her gratuitous use of twitter that had the actress channel her inner “Lohan” by tweeting from the trial, as well the show’s now trademark penchant for incorporating such real-life technology du jour as the infamous Taiwanese news animations into the show. That, and we seriously cannot get enough of Alan Cumming’s slithering Eli Gold who has quietly usurped Kalinda as our favorite non-Florrick character on the show.

First Look: FAMILY GUY + REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER
Question: What does Christine O’Donnell have in common with an animated talking dog? Answer: Well, aside from not being witches, both of whom will, as of Sunday, have the dubious distinction of being taken down a peg by one of America’s most entertaining political satirists. Indeed, perfectly timed to coincide with last Friday’s season finale of (sigh) REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER comes Sunday’s brand new episode of FAMILY GUY entitled “Brian Writes a Bestseller” that has Maher taking down Brian a peg when his best selling book goes to his head. More first look photos of which can be found after the jump.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Things You Didn’t Know About BONES Creator Hart Hanson
He cares deeply for his loyal audience.
While angry frustrated Booth and Brennan ‘shippers’ may find this somewhat hard to swallow at the moment, Hart Hanson really does care about his audience. “I am the first to admit that my bias on BONES is to hang on to my audience rather than risk losing them,” explained Hanson during his recent talk as part of the Canadian Film Centre Test Pattern Series. “When you say it out loud it sounds quite cowardly, but in our first year we were bounced around [the schedule] so much that when I saw those 6 million people follow us so that we survived living past Christmas, a light went off for me that said that this is a cult hit… an acquired taste… a fine scotch. Okay, we’re none of those things, really, we’re a goofy romantic crimedy, but my force on it has always been to be respectful and hope that our loyal audience sticks with us no matter what. Which is ironic because those are the same people who scream at me for things like Hannah!.”
