Faces to Watch: SONS OF TUCSON Star Frank Dolce
Move over Atticus Shaffer, there’s a new kid in town.
Meet Frank Dolce. Who after spending almost a year stealing scenes playing Michael, the titular character’s sidekick in the Tony Award winning musical Billy Elliot, can soon be seen in FOX’s newest comedy SONS OF TUCSON.
Revolving around the Gunderson family, Dolce plays know-it-all-middle-son Gary, who along with his older brother Brandon (Matthew Levy) and younger brother Robby (Benjamin Stockham) concoct a scheme to ‘hire’ a dad (Tyler Labine) when their real one is sent to prison.
“Frank was actually the first named mentioned,” explained executive producer Todd Holland of his young star. “In their interview to be hired, [Casting Directors] Nikki Vallo and Ken Miller said ‘We just came back from Broadway, saw Billy Elliot and Frank Dolce was amazing, he’d be great as Gary.’ It really was destiny.”
A destiny that Dolce is only too happy to be apart of.

Why Last Night’s MODERN FAMILY Was Like The FUNNIEST Episode Ever!
Taking a page from last night’s fantastic, phenomenal Emmy-worthy instalment of MODERN FAMILY which started off the night by having family members reveal their biggest fear — the highlight of which may have been Mitchell’s “hotel bedspreads,” following Cameron’s gut-wrenching fear over losing Mitchell — we’d like to take a moment and reveal our biggest fear: Losing this family. Seriously.
NBC: Where Even Our Title Cards Are Reboots!
While we probably shouldn’t find this the least bit surprising, considering NBC has in recent years become the home to television shows based movies (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS), popular British comedies of the same name (THE OFFICE), and other television shows (BIONIC WOMAN, KNIGHT RIDER). We couldn’t help but feel that there was something eerily familiar about Tuesday’s premiere of PARENTHOOD. A feeling which was confirmed following a quick poking around ‘the google.’ NBC, the network where even the title cards feel recycled!
