Defying GLEE’s Hiatus: We Catch Up with Star Jessalyn Gilsig
Simply put, our life sucks without GLEE. Which is why, in an effort to help fans keep holding on until the show’s much anticipated April 13 return — we at thetvaddict.com, in lieu of uploading a killer shower rendition of ‘Can’t Help Fight This Feeling,’ which let’s face it nobody needs to see — will be spending the next few Wednesdays sharing interviews with some of your favorite stars from the show. Today’s focus, Jessalyn Gilsig. Who was kind enough to take some time at the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour to discuss what’s in store for Finn when GLEE finally returns in 41 days, 4 hours, and 42 minutes. But who’s counting?
What’s it like playing the character audiences love to hate?
Jessalyn Gilsig: It’s a challenge finding the balance so that it stays entertaining. But I try not to worry about being too likeable. I think if I do that, I’ll really fall into a trap of not honoring the writing. You kind of just have to accept that you’re going to be the one that everybody hates. It’s lonely, but somebody’s gotta do it.

The ABC Promo Department Needs to get LOST
Look, it’s one thing for ABC’s marketing department to pique fan’s interest with an exciting teaser for next week’s episode, it’s another thing entirely to flat out lie. Which is why, whomever is responsible for the above promo for last night’s episode of LOST needs to put a stop to the blatant false advertising. Unless of course they’d like to fill us in with regards to just what questions were answered during last night’s episode. Because outside of shedding some light on why LOSTerminds Lindelof and Cuse cast Japanese action star Hiroyuki Sanada as the enigmatic Dogen which culminated in an epic Sayid vs. Dogen smack-down — we’re well, kinda lost.

Why DVD and Foreign Sales Won’t Save Your Favorite Show
With apologies in advance to Greg “HEROES is well received all over the world” Grunberg, not to mention fellow TV Addicts who are pinning their favorite show’s renewal chances on ancillary revenue, we’ve got some bad news for you: Foreign and DVD sales are probably not going to be saving your ‘on-the-bubble’ show anytime soon.
We know this because after tiring of hearing fans passionately defend their favorite show’s chances of renewal with cries of, “It’s huge on DVD” or “Europe and Asia love it!” we decided it was high time to ask someone in the know. And who better to corner at the recent Television Critics Association (TCA) Press tour than that of FOX Primetime President Kevin Reilly himself, who was only too happy to set the record straight.
