Unlike many stories where the school golden boy immediately takes umbrage to welcoming outsiders, the CW’s new series STAR-CROSSED threw in a curveball. In their story, the school’s most popular teen extends the olive branch and offers the new visitors his support. Perhaps it is because he wants to win the heart of the new girl in school, or perhaps he just does not think the newcomers are all that much different. Whatever the motivation it is a welcome surprise.

In an exclusive interview from the set, star Grey Damon talked about his character Grayson, a popular kid who surprises everyone: [Read more…]

From the first time you meet Roman (Matt Lanter), you will see why he gave his heart to a human girl. Even at the tender age of six, his instincts were to trust and protect the young human girl who befriended him. Ten years later when they are reunited under the government order for Atrians and human students to integrate, Roman instinctively knows Emery (Aimee Teegarden) is there and cannot help but gravitate towards her. So there is the undeniable pull of destiny at play and Roman is strong believer in destined love — because for Atrians, they only have one true love.

Aimee Teegarden emery star-crossed

In a tale as classic as love found amongst the stars, the CW drama STAR-CROSSED introduces the story of a young girl who falls for a young alien boy. Meeting one’s soulmate from across the universe is enough to sweep any girl off her feet, but when the entire human race seems against welcoming the aliens who have crash landed on their planet, it makes falling in love all that much harder. STAR-CROSSED’s young lovers Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and Roman (Matt Lanter) will try to carve out time for their budding romance, but with hostility brewing amongst human and alien factions, the story of Emery and Roman will be laced with much inter-species tension and how they struggle to help each side see the better qualities in the other. The aliens, known as Atrians, are not all to be feared and viewed with suspicion, as they have many wonderful qualities and abilities that humans should embrace. But the Atrians are wary of letting the humans know about their special abilities out of fear that they would be exploited, instead of welcomed as equals.

In an exclusive interview from the set, star Aimee Teegarden talked about her character Emery’s mindset and her desire to see where a relationship with Roman may go, and how Emery’s best friend Julia (Malese Jow) feels about the mysterious Atrians that may hold a miracle cure to her deadly disease. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Opinion: Vincent Keller, I Don’t Even Recognize You!

February 3, 2014 By Tiffany Vogt 18 Comments

jay ryan beauty and the beast

After pondering about a recent inquiry about how I was enjoying this season of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, it brought me to one startling realization: the hero I have loved seems to have disappeared. Season 1 introduce us to the isolated, lonely Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), a man in hiding for 10 years with his best friend searching for a cure to the heinous government experimentation subjected to him during his military tenure.

Throughout Season 1, it was a joy to see Vincent shedding some of his fear and loneliness as he made tentative steps to reclaim his life with the aid of Detective Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kreuk). By the end of the first season, he was a strong, admirable man willing to risk anything and everything to protect not only Cat and his best friend J.T. (Austin Basis), but anyone else he deemed under his protection. Vincent had shed that cloak of self-protection invisibility and self-determined isolation in favor of embracing those he cared about and welcoming them fully into his life. [Read more…]
